I wouldn't wait for eBay. Obviously this is a scam and the buyer is trying to come up.
I would take the definite option to get the shoes back instead of waiting for the 30/70 option.

I have a Flight Club quote for my 350s that was accepted at the end of June but I never did anything with it. Will Flight Club still honor it even though it is a few weeks later?

If I were you I'd take the advice you've been given and take action, you have no reason to communicate with the buyer anymore. If your lucky you'll get your shoes back and refund the buyer.
Next time your dealing with a situation like this don't tell the scammer you're going to intercept, like someone else said in a post above if he can convince someone at ups to release the package to him you'll be out of luck.

Meth doesn't like posting personal info if the buyer cries foul if a lurker or NTer was to go to their house.
Just have UPS intercept it.
They'll scan the package and the driver will see an alert.

I hope this scammer gets punched by somebody. Same happened to me with a pair of white pinnacles I sold over ebay. Paypal still has my money frozen since 6 weeks. New ebay account buyer, 0 feedback but paid with paypal. After the shoes arrived he made a chargeback with his credit card (he paid via paypal using his creditcard). He said parcel never arrived at his adress in Miami Lakes. I have submitted everything to paypal, tracking info and proof that the parcel has arrived. They still froze my money. Will have to wait how it turns out, i had no chance to intercept because he did the chargeback AFTER he received the parcel. I know the decision can take a few months...
