The Combat Jack Show Thread

best info you'll get is prolly from professor griff

he was one of the only people speaking on it if I remember

Exactly why i highly doubt it, then to say Jay told as if somehow a group of some of the biggest record execs in hiphop coming together to create their own distribution company was gonna somehow go ignored by other music powerhouses. the whole theory is just dumb.

jay or not something popped off

they all got raided at the same time

but there's no real way of knowing if jay gave up info

The Irv stuff was all over his ties to Supreme and him needing street cred. They wanted Supreme, because he was never supposed to have such a light sentence in the first place for an organization that had bodies. The head of a major crime organization did seven years.

Suge is well, Suge. He was a ticking time bomb and was linked to Tupac and Biggie and had built up numerous enemies. And I'm sure they would be more concerned about him going after Em or Dre.

They didn't need Jay-Z to do anything. That's why the whole discussion is funny to me, because it's obvious. You had people who had severe underworld ties.

People want to believe a black man had to sell his soul or be gay to get ahead though.

Sadly, yeah. I honestly think that's where a lot of the hate for Jay-Z comes from within the hip hop community. Especially from old *** broke *** n*****

Jay prince was raided too

they had info on all of em but they decided to make a move when they were tryna go fully independent

not saying jay was involved but it was def planned more deeply than people think

and Jay's a different breed tho so I don't put anything past him

he's always paraded businesses as if he owned them but only had small stakes

they're even negotiating to sell tidal to apple

jay and others have been deemed as a non threat

not really bout selling your soul, more so not being in the way

So Jay-Z snitched on everyone, and everyone knows it, and he's not only alive, but thriving and people still **** with him

You dudes are too busy being crabs on the bottom of the barrel to even think logically.

Some of you dudes hate Jay-Z so much, you might need to look in the mirror and evaluate some things within yourself. There in lies the problem.

Simple? You're not intelligent enough to call anyone simple, because you're ill equipped to come at me with that bs

I'm was just having a convo about these sucka like mindsets, dudes complain about black business not thriving, love to talk about black unity & trying to stick together & create a sustainable system headed by us. That's all fine and got all the support until a ***** get too rich & then the backlash comes. Dudes talk down about black people getting into business with white people, but will constantly bash the black business and look at it as inferior. Then wonder why the business model isn't sustained & is usually sold to white businessmen.

haha look at jay fronting he only got 10 million out the deal instead of 100 million......... ****** lookin down on another black man for making smart business moves and condemn him for not controlling everything he touches despite operating in a world where less than 1% of the people in those businesses are ANYTHING like him.

also let me get this straight Jay who with his wife are a combined Billion, are literally ICON status in ALL OF MUSIC, basically started the modern version of the distribution deal in question (Tidal is a distributor that is owned majority by artist, a large percentage of those black artist), has openly and secretly contributed millions to black organizations, is well doused in 5% knowledge & seems to have ties with every major black star alive isn't a threat.

Yet Suge who has been raping and pillaging the industry for years, creating beef, violence, keeps gangs around and is arrested every few years... he's a threat? no he's an asset to White Americas plan to keep blacks out of power

I LOVE the things Irv stands for, yet again put himself in a position where he was dealing in business with a guy heavily involved in the streets, violence all around his clique. At the end of the day Most of his empire crashed, doesn't have a 10th of the influence he had at his height, and doesn't really have any say in what the new generation does.... he's a threat? no he's an asset

Jay Prince, i don't really have specifics on him just a bunch of hear say, but the way people talk about him it's made to seem like he's still very street oriented... therefore that influence & reach is limited in what he can achieve. If your influence doesn't go past rap music and again you don't have much influence over the youth... he's a threat? no he's an asset

So yeah i'm sure white america loves a black man with knowledge of self, CONSTANTLY helping other young black men become millionaires & grow their brands, promotes being an entrepreneur, promotes being a family member, promotes breaking barriers.. that's the guy they don't fear, but the ****** dealing with street **** and stuck in legal battles with much less influence have these white business men shaking in their offices.

Ya'll ****** need to learn life.... stop letting people act as if there's some magical ceiling on black success that's only broken if you compromise your entire being. Jay has his flaws but that man is doing things we ain't ever seen done by many black men & he's kept his identity as a black man in the open the ENTIRE time. However in this world whenever wee see white skin we were trained to believe that white man is more important or smarter or more influential. So when jay does any PARTNERSHIP with white business suddenly the narrative becomes look at him "needing" that white man.

**** disgusting, and homie was right about one thing this is deeper than "simple" minds will ever understand.

you read one statement and jumped out the window

you have no idea what I support

there are real black figures I look up to who actually make a living and stand for something

I'm not hype on jay z

type of cats to hype up the fact you voted for obama while our black men and children get shot in the streets

**** outta here

It's always sad to me how we get upset when our black celebs are torn down(Cosby, OJ, Michael Jackson), but we devote so much time to gossiping and spreading negativity towards them to bring them down. This generation is even worse with all the gossip sites and social media talk.

Then the logic in it. People act as if Griff who hasn't been a music insider in almost 30 years has some secret that everybody knows, but nobody knows in the industry. Irv would still be cool with Jay and appearing in documentaries talking about him, but hold 15 year old beef with 50? It's not even logical. All these dudes wouldn't have retribution?

Whenever I see the Drake and Kanye stans on here...I sometimes forgot how hard ****** used to go for Jay-Z

**** ain't about Jay-z it's about sucka ****** talkin like they want black excellence and at the same time downing black people for not being Malcolm x in the flesh... dudes love to complain about inequality and the misplacement of wealth but are the first ****** lined up to tear ANY wealthy black man down & regulate him to selling their souls, being used, not being smart etc etc

sucka mentalities and "if i can't do it, it's impossible" type dudes always talkin down, we don't need that from within not when the Majority of america already does it then you got your own doing.

but alas ****** don't wanna converse about things they throw in the air dudes just wanna giggle amongst eachother and deflect.

Exactly. I see alot of Jay-Z criticism that comes off like some straight conspiracy theory crabs in a bucket type ****. And I'm not even a super Jay fan like that but it is what it is, dudes gotta relax.

Was looking forward to the 50 episode but good to see Rae on Drink Champs.

Yet Suge who has been raping and pillaging the industry for years, creating beef, violence, keeps gangs around and is arrested every few years... he's a threat? no he's an asset to White Americas plan to keep blacks out of power

While Suge was a bully he did a lot of good **** for a lot of people. Helped Dre get out outta his deal with Rughtless when he was stuck. Helped Snoop with his legal team during his murder case. Gave Pac money when he was going through legal ****. He got a few artist outta terrible deals. Deathrow gave a lot of these labels the blueprint to start your own ****. He did some bad and he did some good.

dog what in the blue hell are you talking bout?

1 never mentioned I believed the rumor
2 someone asked bout the rumor
3 I never said I didn't like jay z
4 jay operates like any other music exec which is why I'm not too pressed to praise him
5 nothing you typed applies to anything I typed

no one is asking people to have a career of Muhammad Ali

but everyone should have the mindset of Ali

lowering your standards and progression don't mix

you quoting me to say things you already wanted to say

I'm not looking for symbols of success

I want results

nore style of questioning is hilarious

*whispers* maino did you smash ?

i aint hear you

me either *whispers* did you smash ?
