Anyone else getting more and more paranoid about the outside world?

Not sure if it can be partially attributed to me getting older, but the outside world has had me on edge lately. It's as if there's so little regard for human life in this day and age. Look at all the things that've happened this year (school shootings, murdering moms, knock out games, etc). I'm here at a Caribbean spot getting my grandmother something to eat and I'm looking over my shoulder as I type this just trying to stay on guard. :smh:
 
Typically I'd agree, but I don't know, man. It's like I just play out scenarios that could happen out here.
 
I understand what you're saying OP. I use to think about this as well from time to time, but I've come to the realization that "N's die everyday". Plus tomorrow is not promised to anyone, so I just enjoy each as if its my last. This is life, if you're to worry about everything that can potentially go wrong then you will never leave your house.

Just have this thought that a brother won't eem make it to thirty out here. I'm bugging though. Gotta read more positive articles than negative. :smh:
 
For real though a blinkin a blinkin I feel you. I think it's part of getting older. When you start hitting that "I'm responsible for myself and others" phase of life, you start realizing there's a whole lot of **** out there you have to try not to get dragged into dealing with, and lots of it is completely out of your control.

I'm not scared. Just a bit more on edge than I can recall ever being. Like tonight for instance. It's raining and my grandmother hates driving in the rain, let alone at night time. So I take her to get something to eat. A group of young teens standing outside the restaurant just chillin. I see them and instantly wonder about the stuff I've seen on the news lately (ie the knockout game, dude offing his moms). :smh:

I think that's what it is. These days I'm always thinking about the **** that could wrong when out and about. Was straight tripping at a bar a few weekends ago because I couldn't escape the thought of a bar brawl breaking out. :smh: :lol:

I think the "out of my control" aspect is what gets me the most. You just never know what you're dealing with when it comes to people, man. :smh:

World ain't any worse tho. I'd argue it's actually safer. You're just getting older and becoming more aware of the real grime. Media and technology play a big role too. News from all around the globe is shared in seconds. You hear about more stuff now. More stuff isn't happening.

Take for instance the {} that murked his moms. Yes it's a tragedy. Yes it's disgusting. But he ain't the first to do it. I mean, they even got a term for offing your mom. So it mustve been a real deal at some point :lol:

Half of those knockout vids were old as hell too.

The way I look at it, there have always been bad people in the world. These type of crimes have been happening. You just have to be careful.
 
I need to get my conceal and carry. I see to much foolishness going on. I'm not a little guy but I'm not trying I fight five 21 year olds...missed me on that. Idk if I got the heart to shoot a youngster but I need that option.
