I was young but we had Jerry Porter he became a diva once Brown and Jerry left.

Ronald Curry was also great but injury prone.

I'm not sure at 5. But if he's the dude who slides this year?? The Browns would have to pass on him 3 times for him to be there for us in the 2nd.

If we don't take him at five he won't be there for us in the second round guaranteed. And I don't think Reggie wants him to begin with.

I think I've told the story here but I know a guy that used to work with the team and said he saw Porter tell Cliff Branch, "You know why I wear 84? Because I'm 4 times the player you ever were." :smh:

I would be ecstatic to have MJD. With the right line he could reignite his career.

Please no Johnny Manziel.
He is a Diva and does not have the work ethic. He will probably be chillin courtside at a Warriors game instead of watching game film and studying defensive schemes.

I want a defensive player in the draft.

If we have to go QB i would want Bridgewater.
He earned my respect after taking that hit in the Florida game. He didnt buckle and played a good game. With Bridge you atleast know he is committed and hungry.

Bridge is a beast and a hell of a player/competitor, but you don't pass on Manziel @ 5 if you're where we are franchise wise. The gamble outweighs the risk

Its a much better idea than Mack at FIVE

how do you know he doesn't have the work ethic?

Interviews and comments by people that know/knew him.

Greg Pappa was saying that too. In the same segment he said Michael Vick is real lazy and Alex Smith is a workaholic. Tom Cable (former falcon asst coach) said they would give Vick blank game tapes and ask him the next day his thoughts. Vick would say the film looked good and that he noticed he needed to work on such and such LOL classic

Anyway Johnny is selfish and lacks the work ethic. No one has said other wise...i dont wanna take that risk

Man, like ive said many times before it all comes down to the wonderlic for me and many scouts when it comes to qbs nowadays.

Guys in the 20-29 range tend to be very solid qbs, below that you see qbs that struggle to learn systems big time. Above that you see guys that consistently overthink their reads like Alex Smith and Fitzpatrick

I thought the blank tape story was about Jamarcus. Might wanna fact check that one broham.

There's def a blank tape story that's true about Jamarcus. Not sure about Vick but it's possible.

I have yet to hear any knock on Manziel's work ethic, there's just a bad stigma on him because he partied in college. Which shouldn't matter considering he had a better season last year than his Heisman year.

I know it's accepted as truth but I don't even believe the Jamarcus blank game tape story. Seen it referenced a 100 times, never by anyone in the organization. Now they slandering my dude Mike Vick. Let me guess, McNabb's been duped by blank tapes too. :rolleyes

That's how they got Culpepper, they gave him a blank tape and he gave them back a copy of the love boat.

This dude just said hes waiting on wonderlic scores to see who the best qb will be, his player evaluations and opinions will always be ignored by my from here on out

Feel free to PM me if you would like to discuss my background and relationships within the NFL. I am in no way saying the wonderlic is the only thing i look at, just a key in a very big and strenuous process when it comes to evaluating the hardest position, qb

No worries if you don't, just dont understand your rationale and have no problem talking briefly over PM.

You probably also think im an idiot for laugjing at a team w our roster drafting a LB in the top 5 too, right?

Although, i haven't given any evaluations throughout this thread  so theres nothing to trip over. Just pointing out that theres one clear pick, manziel, and then watkins - just to add a playmaker which our franchise desperately needs
