:::[Official][Playoffs] San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers @ Lambeau Field:::

I agree that shutting down Lacy and GBs running attack will be key. With the way Pat and Bow have been playing lately I feel very confident about them doing just that. Bowman is playing on another level right now. :x

It's gonna be an aerial attack they will abandon their run game entirely like they did in the past with AR12

I want to see Whitner set the tone early and come down hill on Lacey and scramble his noodle.

False. They didn't have Lacy then. He can do it all; block, break a long run or take a simple screen to the house.

Under or over 1.5 personal fouls penalties from him on Sunday? :nerd:  |I

Rogers doubtful to play. Blessing in disguise? I think so, too slow to cover the slot receiver.
Almost blew my own ******g head off reading that first sentence...

But who on the 9ers is fast enough to cover Cobb/Jordy in the slot if Carlos isn't?
You're high if you think they're going to "abandon the run" in -20* temps.  Even if it was 65* and sunny, Lacy has averaged more than 22 carries per game with Rodgers at QB this year.

Just watch Sunday if the run game isn't effective they have no problems completely abandoning the ground game. Won't even show play action 3 to 5 step drops with the ball comin out on time. Now if the winds pick up we may see a entirely different game but packers know that they can spread the Niners out and that gives them their best chance.

What are you basing this off of?

Even when the Packers were TRASH at running the ball, McCarthy forced run plays to keep balance...

If y'all played in the NFC west year round would equal a lot less touches and big games for Eddie lacy bro y'all played in arguably the worst division for defenses. Run defenses were awful this year In the NFC north aside from Detroit who showed up on occasion.

Y'all had a run game on your way to the Super Bowl three years ago and this year had a rookie who had some explosive games but mike McCarthy is smart enough to know you have to spread the niners out. Leave it like this don't count on the run game being as effective as it was Vs the Bears

Who saying SF is even within a lightyear from being as bad as the Bears run D?

The only way Mac goes away from the run is if SF jumps out to a big lead early.

If the score is anywhere close you're getting 20+ carries from Lacy and probably 6-9 carries from starks.

This isn't some Detroit/Saints offense that the QB throws 43 times per game.  Rodgers barely averages over 31 attempts per game and this year has been his lowest average per game since 2010.

The game will come down to whether or not we can get to Rodgers with a 4 man rush.
I agree.  Also, as far as the 49ers rush defense is concerned I don't think we have given up a 100 yards rushing in a game all season. If the Packers and Eddie Lacy want to put that to the test, we welcome the challenge.

I'm not even saying Lacy will touch 100... I'm saying the attempts will be there and the idea of "abandoning the run" just because when its going to be 20 below zero is pretty unrealistic.

Can't wait for this game. Can't wait for this weekend :smokin

Alright bro well I'm going > 20 touches. An it's not " just because" its because you guys have the personal to spread a defense out and air it out. Weather will be a factor but not as much as I believe your putting stake in through the air. But also considering Arods injury they may have to rely heavily on the run game I have my opinion bout what will happen you obviously have yours.

LOL even Eddie Lacy doesn't want to go head up with the hardest hitting strong safety in the league in Donte Whitner. He will get KTFO like he did in the second week of the season.

Hitner stays killing these RBs :x

Taking that statement with a grain of salt but Lacy was being held up while that scumbag Merriweather launched into his temple...

Welp if yall avoid gettin' blown up by Hitner, watch out for Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman, Ahmad Brooks, Eric Reid, Aldon Smith and Justin Smith  :pimp:

Haha like they said last game, if one of them misses you. You better get down now cus you got 4 of them coming for you. :smokin

I may or may not speak for the rest of the Niner fans on here, but I am really nervous for this game. Its not that I think the Packers are better than us.....I dont. I think the Niners are unquestionably better than the Packers. But I am worried that the weather situation will make this game more of a toss up than it should be.
