:::[Official][Playoffs] San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers @ Lambeau Field:::

Ain't nobody tryna throw the football in -51 windchill.  Thats about 60 degrees past being able to feel your fingers.

You can bet Donte "da hahdest hitten safety in da leeeeegue" Whitner ain't gonna be laying the lumber like normal in -51 either.

I dunno what kind of cold weather conditions some of yall 9ers fans have experienced before but these guys are gonna be in weather that a normal person would have to rock about 6-7 layers of winter gear just to not shed frozen tears.  They'll have 2-3 core layers max and 1 layer on their arms/hands if their smart.

Maybe squeeze on a couple cold gear tights on the legs.  No one trying to run full speed into another 230 lb human at that temp. No one.

Exactly Fraij......which is why I feel like this game is a toss up. The weather will play a huge role in this game.

Thats why I'm laughing at your boy that thinks the Packers abandon the run... 65-70 offensive plays and Rodgers gonna throw 45 times?

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Its gotten to the point where its too cold for everyone. If it were 10-15 degrees you could say wed have a slight advantage being used to that while it'll make the niners uncomfortable. This cold though? Doesnt matter where you live youre supposed to be inside. Its gonna be flat out who wants it more. As I said in the NFL thread, im afraid the Niners will go heavy read option again like they did last year, and im afraid it will really really work again. Use kaps big body to your advantage instead of his arm.

this. at temperatures this low, i think the playing field is neutralized. GB can play all the cold weather football they want during the regular season, but no one's ready for frostbite.

will the vendors even need to keep beers chilled this weekend? how are they gonna dispense beverages when the beer is coming out frozen from the tap??

I want to see Whitner set the tone early and come down hill on Lacey and scramble his noodle.

all those nightmares about the frozen tundra and brett favre in the late 90s just got cured by those two gifs alone.

can't wait to see Hitner tag up lacy on the flats...i just pray that the refs don't have a huge affect on the outcome

This damn game shouldnt even be at Lambeau

:smh:
Stop itttttttt.

Please, you really think you guys deserve to host this game?

Obviously it's just the way the rules are/have been but anyone who thinks an 8-7-1 team should be hosting a game over a 12-4 is on a good one and needs to pass it this way.

Was watching First Take or one of those shows this morning and I think they were mentioning the NFL thinking about fixing this (obviously not this season), but someone correct me if I'm wrong because I didn't catch the full segment.

NFL just needs to stop messing around with this current way of seeding playoffs teams based on division winners. no one's trying to see an 8-8 or 7-9 team get a playoff game at home, let alone, be in the damn playoffs.

Looks like Darryl Morris is going to get his shot this weekend if both Rogers and Wright can't play. I wanted to see what this kid could do, but obviously not in a pressure situation like the playoffs.

lil info on darryl morris dude was undrafted CB. Small dude at 5'10 but he plays physical and is the fastest guy on the team. My inside sources tell me he smoked Vernon Davis in a head to head race in practice. :nerd:

fyi morris was the guy who laid out darius reynaud vs Tenn. dude has burners.

did E.Wright get injure his hammy at practice in GB??

if so, man, i hope it's not cold weather related

He tweaked his hamstring yesterday at practice in Santa Clara. Apparently he suited up and practiced today so who knows if he'll play.

Answer Honestly.  Do you really think the Packers are a 8-7-1 team? The team that was missing Rodgers for 8 weeks? You dont think they go at least 4-4 during that span WITH rodgers instead of 2-5-1?

Regardless of your answer to that. Division winners host home games, period. That is how its been forever in the NFL.

Yall the same team that let Seattle win the division at 7-9 and host a home game not too long ago, right? Every team knows that winning the division is priority #1.  I love how the NFCW was the worst division in football BY FAR only a couple of years ago and now yall dudes got a fleet of high horses like you've been running the NFC for decades.

Packers aren't your typical 8-7-1 team that snuck into the playoffs.  Aaron Rodgers went 15-1 with a garbage defense in 2011. The 2013 Pack are a minimum 10 win team, probably 11 or 12 wins with Rodgers in for 16 games even with the **** defense.

Until the NFL changes the rule, Division winners host.  Deal with it.

Carlos and Wright arent playing on Sunday.  Hamstring issues in -20* temps? Nope. Thats not happening.

they are what they are no what ifs.

Hoping for a great game injury free.

trust me, outside of the 12th man, no one from the NFCW felt that seattle deserved to be in the playoffs. in fact, that division didn't deserve to have any team represented in january that season.

not gonna make any comments on the what if scenario you posed. for a majority of the season, niners' fans were waiting for crabtree to come back but no one was making excuses for the piss poor play of the offense.

You think anyone gives a damn about a hypothetical record would have been if Rodgers didn't get hurt

Fact is you did finish 8-7-1, you're obviously a better team when one of the best QB's in the world is playing..that goes for anyone, obviously..

And I even said I understand how it's what the rule is and has been, but just voiced my displeasure with it as it makes no sense. To make it even further frustrating, we beat you this year as well

But yeah whatever man.. I'm done talking about something that isn't going to change, if you'd like to discuss the game I'm with that but if it's going to be about the whole home field advantage then you can save yourself time with that one, I'm good.

Yup yall won  18 weeks ago in your QB's best week of his entire season.

Your first line contradicted your second line.

You know that Rodgers on the pack wins more games than the opposite. Seneca/Flynn/Tolzein doesn't hold a candle to AR behind center.  You know deep down that the records dont matter for **** right now and that Green Bay handled their business and finished #1 in the division and your team couldn't do the same and only have deliberately designed acoustics to blame.

2 days before the game and a Niners fans has already made an excuse for it being too cold, and that a rule that's lasted forever should be changed because it happens to be inconveient for them this time around. Does this mean we're gonna win?

Ya know...............I don't mind fans that are passionate about their team as I consider myself passionate about my team as well.  With that being said, there's a big difference between a fan being passionate versus a fan being delusional, which why I had to address the delusion in this response.  First off, your record is your record.  The Packers have lost games with Rodgers in the lineup and starting, as they obviously have lost games with Rodgers out of the starting lineup and not playing.  Also, in Week 1 of THIS season, the 49ers played a healthy and loaded Packers in San Francisco and the team the came out victorious was...........well, no need to the re-visit the past as I don't want nobody to catch feelings
wink.gif

Now, to speak more on the situation as hand, from a LOGICAL standpoint, there's simply no reason a team that's 12-4 should be playing a team that is 8-7-1 at their home.  Not even including that same 12-4 team beat the 8-7-1 earlier that same year.  Division or no division, I think we can ALL agree it's a stupid rule.  Are the Packers and even their fanbase for the most part a good bunch, absolutely, so don't think I'm trying to disparage you dudes (even Jay02 is starting to show a little bit of growth, just a little).  Then when you factor in the weather, as I said earlier this week no team or fan would to play or be in the stands for weather conditions this bad.  Like, if anyone of sense had a choice between being in warm weather or being in extremely..........extremely cold weather folks are going with warm weather the majority of the time, no doubt on that one.

All that being said, as the saying goes it is what it is for the weekend. The weather is going to effect both teams IMO as the human body is going to somewhat shutdown or react to the conditions on the field and in the air.  Taking all of that into account, 49ers and Team 49ers, we are in the situation (playing on the road) that we are in and all we can and will do is deal with it accordingly.  Just had to speak on the matter at hand or at least address what was said up above as I'm not letting no nonsense as I see it slide on the boards while I'm alive and present around these parts.  Rest assure I'm looking forward to a good game on Sunday, Team 49ers let's get it!!
Are you guys.....EXCITED?!!
Absolutely.  You think we ain't champ??

I know ya'll are. I would be! Just trying to intentionally remind you guys so you feel that giddiness that accompanies the excitement.

I miss those feels.
