1715. The Golden Age of Piracy. New Providence Island is a lawless territory, controlled by history's most notorious pirate captains. The most feared is Captain Flint.

As the British Navy returns to redeem their land and exterminate Flint and his crew, another side of him emerges. Captain Flint aligns himself with Eleanor Guthrie, daughter of the local kingpin, to hunt the ultimate prize and ensure their survival.

Many opponents stand in their way: rival captains, jealous of Flint's power; Eleanor's ambitious and intrusive father; and a young sailor recently recruited onto Flint's crew, John Silver, who constantly undermines his captain's agenda.

STARZ delivered with Spartacus the past few years, so I'll definitely give this a shot.

i saw they renewed da vinci's demons. anyone recommend this show?

i was a big fan of spartacus, so im trying to fill that void :lol:

Saw an episode or two of da vinci's demons. Show is alright with hot women in it. Just weird seeing how they made da vinci into an action star / macgyver.

Been waiting for Black Sails. Funny seeing jody's goofy self from Shameless on it.

Really wish they had created a series for Ceasar after they introduced his character.

This show looks decent though, never really watched DaVinci's Deamons. Couldn't bring myself to watch another show so soon after Spartacus ended.

I wouldn't be able to take that version of caesar seriously after they made him get raped by that fruity boy.

I watched the first 5 eps of DaVinci and it was awful..Boring and cheesy looking..

Black Sails looks like it's going to have serious potential..

I guess hazing / initiation to pirates was a good thing back then. Orgy with 5 fine wenches.
 
Watched both episodes. Some parts made me feel like I was watching a R rated version of the PoC series.

Show has potential though. Hopefully they don't drop the ball...
 
Im interested to see how Miranda figures in...Flint trusts her enough to keep Guthrie safe but it seems like she's a prisoner in her own home

I am. Saw the latest episode on demand yesterday. flint is fugazi and a punk. Never liked that guy. I like Mrs. Barlow though. Would shack up with her in that little house. She gave that preacher the best night of his life, more like the best 5 seconds of his life.
 
Silver's character intrigues me, he is one conniving son of a *****

I kinda think he might still be around. Maybe flint just pushed him into the water and he was able to climb onto the ship they attacked.
