Thanks for the feedback. I ordered them. I went to ***** to measure his foot one more time before I bought them online. Glad I did because his foot grew. He's got his next camp July 7th. His club has hired the Dutch Soccer School to run a private camp for the team. When I looked at the resume of the coaching staff, I was really impressed. The coaches at my son's coach got some training from this group & were so impressed that they hired them for the private camp. My son will wear the fire berry jawns for camp & practice thereafter. He really wants the new hyper punch Mercurials...

You guys that have the Phantom's, do they stretch, and how much? That much that I should get the 11.5? My feet are pretty narrow, so I have to tie the laces super tight on every single boot to get a good fit. If someone could help me it would mean a world to me!

The upper gives a good amount.  If the length is do-able don't worry about the upper being too tight it will loosen up.  I can't really quantify the stretch.  But when i first got them i would pull the laces and there was a lot of tongue visibility if that makes sense, probably about 2 fingers of width.  Now since they have been broken in the laces almost touch and there is about 1 finger or less of tongue visibility.  

There is something about the gold hypervenom that i don't like.  I think its the gold with the volt.  If it was just gold everything i think i would like them a lot more.  Or gold and brazil blue or gold and brazil green.

I have more narrow feet too and they still fit me comfortably.  I have worn vapors almost exclusively the past couple of years (adizero 1's being the exception).  I double sock though when i play.  Don't know if its an option or to wear thicker socks but might help.  

I posted this a while back but my left shoe in this pic is right out of the box and tied tight.  So there isn't much tongue visibility only at the top which since breaking them in has gotten closer.  I am also wearing nike elite double layer socks in the pic too.  

The upper breaks in super soft it really is a great material job by nike. 
 
Keep in mind if it's uncomfortable, the break in of the boot/shoe won't alleviate that.

Damn, Todofut has the kids CR7 JR Mercurial Vapor IX (Galaxy) for $60 (regularly $119.99)... Might have to get those for my kid...
 
What are the pluses or positives of going over to the Earthquakes U10 team? Will get better coaching? Play in a more competitive team? If so yes, I'd move him. If it's about the same & you like the coaching/training your son's receiving, then I'd stay. The most important thing above all that however is whatever your son feels is best for him. Good luck & like I said please keep at least me posted. My son just joined a new club (travel team) because it was a better opportunity all the way around.

Adidas presented La Pulga with a birthday edition (his 27th) of his boot. All the sudden, I'm hungry for some Fruit Loops... :rolleyes

I'm pissed right now, didn't get the official match balls I wanted. I hate stupid sellers on ebay with their bids, just post your items with buy it now link . I made this guy a good offer on 2 balls and he goes "oh that's too low, I know the real monetary value I can get for each of them". So I ask how much and he goes "$100 a piece". In my head I'm :rofl: like fool you know damn well ain't nobody gonna pay more than that for an OMB. I end up getting outbidded at the last second for both and they didn't even go past $80 :stoneface: >:

if it makes you feel any better, there's a TON of counterfeits on ebay. usually it's obvious because they claim to be OMBs with a BIN of $25 shipping from china, but sometimes you get people in the US trying to offload those same ones after they get them in the mail and realize they're fakes.

the fakes got fairly good last cycle - i have a 'jabulani' that even has the dimpled coating, but the panels aren't balanced so it flies really weird.
