* SOCCER/FUTBOL/FOOTBALL FEET, KITS AND GEAR - 2014 *

the gold neymar boots are pretty dope but if you're gonna be wearing that on the pitch, I hope you got the skillz to match

I don't know how you don't like those Psk :smh:

The official images are much better than the leaked pic. I said "meh" before but I'll upgrade to saying it's a solid kit now that I can see clearer image. I wonder what the away & third kit will look like.

@GEEZUS, I agree navy & royal do look nice together. I used to buy all the royal & navy polos that Ralph Lauren used to have back in the day...

I know right...it's like the dude who comes to play ball in Jordan Brand from head to toe. Everybody eyes "that guy" like :nerd: when he gets his hands on the rock...until he airballs his first two shots and dribbles his crossover off his foot. Then everybody's like :rolleyes

I'm pissed right now, didn't get the official match balls I wanted. I hate stupid sellers on ebay with their bids, just post your items with buy it now link . I made this guy a good offer on 2 balls and he goes "oh that's too low, I know the real monetary value I can get for each of them". So I ask how much and he goes "$100 a piece". In my head I'm  like fool you know damn well ain't nobody gonna pay more than that for an OMB. I end up getting outbidded at the last second for both and they didn't even go past $80  >:

if it makes you feel any better, there's a TON of counterfeits on ebay. usually it's obvious because they claim to be OMBs with a BIN of $25 shipping from china, but sometimes you get people in the US trying to offload those same ones after they get them in the mail and realize they're fakes.

the fakes got fairly good last cycle - i have a 'jabulani' that even has the dimpled coating, but the panels aren't balanced so it flies really weird.
naw I'm still mad
bidding on all match balls he had for sale started at $50, they were all the real deal. I currently have 4 at my disposal, 1 Seitiro and 3 Maxims. I bought all of them on ebay for under $90 including shipping. I need more so I can put in that work in the training ground :pimp:
shout out to ice city fc ice city fc for the plug

Believe me i bet some bum comes through my league rocking them and ends up being horrible lmao.

Barca is going the Brazilian advertising club route lol.

Seriously tho, I understand why these teams want the millions of dollars to advertise on there "precious" jerseys in front of a the world but why do we as fans have to be subjected to it? Why can't they sell kits without the advertising for us to wear? :rolleyes

Why do I have to pay 10x the value of a kit and on top of that be a walking advertisement? They should pay me lol

One of the things I detest about football man.

Remember the days when their kits only had unicef on the chest? Those were awesome. I copped one of their last shirts before they sold out to advertising

Dude I remember the days when Barca had no advertising on the jerseys, none - while every other team did. The only thing that cared about was the Catalan pride and the "more than the club" slogan they think they still abide by. Wasn't even to long ago, think 2006? Now they're whoring themselves. Disappointing man.

Well said.

Sports fan complaining about the price of jerseys... :rolleyes :smh: Mine as well complain about the price of stamps & why we have to pay taxes... Get over it already...

Nike Eintracht Frankfurt home & away shirts for the upcoming campaign. This is the first kit with Nike. The Eagles finished 13th in the table last campaign.

What's cool about the Nike kits is their use of recycled materials (recycled plastic water bottles). The shirts are 96% recycled polyester, shorts are 100%, & socks are 78%. Sum total each kit is made from 18 recycled plastic bottles... :smokin

Not sure what the other manufacturers do material wise with this kits.

agree completely. plus they're completely in bed with the qatari government, which is essentially killing workers every day to build their corrupt world cup. and they're probably going to sign suarez. i've been a barca fan since middle school, but it's incredible how much the club has sold out and destroyed its reputation in just a few years. it's tough to take.

Yaw do realize Barca has debts in the 250-350 million range right? TV deals, ticket sales, merch deals just aren't enough... At some point you NEED sponsors/advertising... ESPECIALLY if you want your team to do well domestically (ad dollars fund transfer fees, which in turn bring in talent).... C'mon yaw can't be that naive... Barca's soiree with the Qatari's to ME is more of a problem than with sponsor deals... And i'm a Barca fan... THe reality is that they were the last to holdout, but debts caused them to give in... Capitalism my friends...

Yeah the Qatar partnership bother's me too, especially the Qatar Foundation on the front of the shirt. What an oxymoron.:smh:

Mes que un club went right out the window starting with the tail end of the Laporta era.

Oil money is all over the better football teams though... It's amazing how far the dough reaches...

So b fresco b fresco , you're a Gooner & Barca fan?

Naive? About what? - I'm a business major man and I'm in the process of getting my MBA, I'd like to think I've passed the naivety stage. They're three things I like to say I'm confident about - 1) Drugs & Liquor 2) Portugal 3) Business.

Barça are in debt because they want to be in debt. When you realize that, you'll stop using that as an excuse. When it comes to advertising, there is a fine line between greed and enterprising - What Barca is doing is greedy. Not to mention unethical when it comes down to their principles.

As for you Kimchi Papi Kimchi Papi . You disappoint me man, you're the eldest of all of us, you have a family and kids (probably a lawn to). You can't seriously sit behind a computer and actually be that gullible to Nike's "plastic bottle/green" campaign. Come on bro. They're making them out of plastic bottles so YOU think they're doing something righteous for the sake of the world (oh, why thank you so much Nike gods). They do it so the material is cheaper and so they can sell at a high price. Nike's greed is out the window, thats a company that no ethical boundaries - they just keep crossing the line, they don't care  The fans tho have a legit beef with the prices they sell these kits at. Not everyone in the world is capable of paying 100$ per kit, this is a global sport. That's a problem.

You really have a unique view of the world Coupé It Coupé It , one that's uniquely yours & yours only dude.

The way you skew things to fit what you'd like to say is hilarious to me. I love how you invent the logic behind your explanation of Nike's water bottle.

The fact of the matter is they're doing it while maximizing costs & increasing profits. Isn't that what you're supposed to do as a business?

Being green is a value add one that's now being studied by Stanford, Harvard, & other companies. Fact of the matter is that Nike has recycled over 100 million water bottles since they started using this process.

Edit - Their green initiative even created the whole flyknit process.

If you want to take them to task about anything, take them to task about their goods being manufactured at sweat shops, but that's every company including the likes of Apple. :rolleyes

Your logic & your rants are always amusing & fascinating.  Seriously...

If you have a problem with the pricing/marketing/profit margins, stop buying & stop watching. Simple as that.

Lulz at you making the statements like that up there when you flash cash while leaning up against a nice Beemer... Whose talking about greed?!?!

Having said all that, these threads wouldn't be the same without you Coupe... Much love...

I've been around the world, my views may be unique and uncommon. I never said I'm perfect, individually greed can be good - but I'm not responsible for anyone right now. I don't have children and I don't own a business. What I need to do right now is be ambitious to make it in this cut-throat world.

Nike is responsible for thousands of employee's, hundreds of thousands of sweat shop-workers, and millions of consumers. They have that responsibility, I don't - can't compare. I just don't want you or anyone else for that matter believing for a second that what Nike is doing is noble "our kits are made out of water bottles, we're saving the world! Come buy our products while we overcharge you 10x over!!". That's bull**** Psk, and you know that. Just don't be gullible to that and try to feed it to me as well.

And of course it's not just Nike, it's most companies - I can make this argument for many. But this is Niketalk, their is already enough Nike slurping on this site - I might as well try to balance it out

Yo, these nike lunar gato II's are the bomb

I use them on the concrete and the turf with me m8s and they've been fantastic.

I use them to go running as well.

 @ your self righteous indignation. It's super saiyan levels of comedy. Wait wut?!?! Nike & companies are only out to make profit? Why do they have to do that?!?!

Your not the only one that's traveled. I spent alot of the 90s out of the country working for my uncle who worked for the US in an advisory role. We traveled in a diplomatic capacity all over Europe & Asia in emerging markets.

It's hilarious the way you think you're the only one "in know" & that everyone else is gullible.

If you think Nike's green initiative is for marketing purposes only, you really don't understand the scope of their project.

I won't argue about overcharging. It's a useless argument because every facet of every product we use is overpriced so that companies can maintain healthy profit margins. Have you seen how companies are hollowing out the bottom of their cans & jars so they don't have to fill with as much product while charging 30% more?

Do you know what it actually costs to make a box of cereal? It's apprx $0.50-$0.75... Know what they charge at the grocery store? Have you noticed the boxes have gotten smaller & there is less net weight of product in the box while the pricing has increased steadily over the last 2 years?

Where's your moral indignation about that?

What's even funnier is that your making complaints about Nike like you have a serious moral problem with the company on NikeTalk. Go figure...

Relax dude... :smokin

My moral indignation about Cereal prices are obviously in the my Captain Crunch & Fruity Pebbles Forum I post in everyday. Duhhhh. Way to stay on topic psk!!

What better forum to make complaints and judgements on Nike than Niketalk? I have a broader audience for you fools who actually believe the things they market. No better place for me, I'm in the heart of the vulnerability

We're just going to keep at that tho and agree to disagree before one of these fools on here start to believe we're fighting. Once you hit a certain age, your opinions don't change. You're pretty much stuck with your beliefs, you've obviously hit that age Psk  You'll be a Nike check solider till the day you die. I respect that tho, thats loyalty.

I'm not half the Nike stan you think I am, but I know where I'm posting & complaints like yours look foolish posting in here. When you post those foolish opinions it sounds like your saying, "I hate corporations like Nike, Nike is ripping all of you simpletons off, & I know better than to buy any of their ish". :rolleyes

Your as much a stan as I am but you pretend to be otherwise that's the funny thing. It's what brings in here regularly & post...

I'm very objective & change all the time. Your criticisms of me are actually more appropriate for you. You have a very singular & narrow view outside of your own opinion. Whatever you post about other people actually fits you more than anyone. That's the funny thing.

You embody the phrase "Ignorance of youth" but I wouldn't change it for the world on NT. You make it interesting & comical. :smokin
