* SOCCER/FUTBOL/FOOTBALL FEET, KITS AND GEAR - 2014 *

That United Shirt is really nice; without the Chevy logo it'd be even nicer. I love soccer shirts but the ads get on my nerves. That's why I'm loving the World Cup jerseys. Am I the only one hoping for France and Holland losses so I can get their shirts at steep discount :D :nerd:

current puma teaser ads show giroud, arteta, and cazorla in blank white kits (meant to look like blank canvases but look too much like spurs for my liking) so i won't post it, but the most interesting part of the full frame is their feet which shows off an arsenalized tricks colorway for both evopower and evospeed silos which i would cop in a heartbeat.

United shirt would be WAY better with the Chevy logo just outlined in white and just a red background instead of the gold filling.

It sucks because I do love the shirt itself but Chevy does ruin it. I don't even know if I could warm up to it because Sharp, Voda, AIG, and AON were all (Vodafone exception) white outline texts but the Chevy logo is just a big honkin logo right in the middle of the shirt.

Hopefully they at least make it all white outline next season.

Arsenal U21s wearing Puma training kits.  Gonna take a while to get used to the puma/arsenal combo

Kits don't really look bad except for the third kit.  Although I tried on some of the World Cup Puma shirts in person the other day and really wasn't a fan of the fit or materials.  Seemed kinda cheap.

Celtic FC's third kit

Celtic will this season play in a new bold and brilliant white third kit.

Celtic played in a white shirt for their first ever game in May 1888, and now this new third shirt pays homage to the club’s founders with a nod to the past, but with a fresh and new look for the future.

The shirt boasts a green, white and gold chest band, a modern interpretation of the Irish tricolor, to celebrate the club’s origins, having been founded in 1887 by Irish Marist priest Brother Walfrid.

The shirt also features a constructed V-neck collar with a gold band inside the neck, and green cuffs on the sleeves.

Inside the back of the neck is a green and white pennant tab reflecting Celtic’s famous hoops from their home shirt with the proud statement: "A club like no other."

The new third shorts are white with a thin green stripe along each side, while the socks are white with a green band at the top, and a wide tonal stripe of chevrons on the back.

The new third kit will be available to purchase in stores and from Nike.com from July 11.

I don't like white kits much but that Celtic 3rd looks clean... I would've put a little more green in there though...

Just out of curiousoty, are the orange shorts that the Netherlands wear not available for sale anywhere?

i can only find the white or the blue, even on the knvb site. i think i remember looking for the orange ones in 2010 as well, but no luck.

nike used to sell almost every piece of gear at retail, but they've definitely cut down over the past 5 years or so. it's almost impossible to find pants for most teams now.

Figured I'd ask in here before I make a thread for it, but does Nike sell any soccer pants similar to Adidas' Tiro & Condivo pants?

I've seen Nike call their footy pants a couple of different thinks like the Squad Tech Pant or Academy Tech Knit Pants. Usually retail for $50-$60. There's also a pant called the Rio Warm Up, but this might not be your choice if your looking for more slim fitting pants. The Rio pants are a little more narrower than regular warm up pants but a littler bigger than footy pants.

The older kids in my son's former club used to also wear Nike track pants because you could get them in different lengths in addition to waist sizes. They liked these because these were slim fit also.

In case anyone didn't know, Nike is not renewing with Manchester United.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/soccer-nike-end-kit-supply-200036611.html

LONDON, July 7 (Reuters) - U.S. sportswear company Nike will not renew a long-running kit supply deal with English soccer club Manchester United because of the cost of a new contract, a source with knowledge of the negotiations said.

Nike has been supplying United's famous red shirts since 2002 but the current agreement expires next year. Its withdrawal is expected to clear the way for the club to sign a lucrative new deal with German sportswear company Adidas.

"Clearly Nike's football business is booming and they could easily afford to do this (deal). They had the right to match any other offer but looking at the deal on the table, they will walk away as it doesn't make commercial sense," the source said.

United got around 38 million pounds ($64.7 million) from the Nike deal in 2012-13, including its share of profit from the sale of merchandise around the world.

Media reports had suggested the club was looking for a new deal worth around 60 million pounds per season.

Nike and Adidas are battling for supremacy in the soccer kit industry, with the American company having made big inroads into a sport that its German rival long dominated.

United, owned by the American Glazer family, are looking to rebuild after a disappointing season in which the 20-times English champions finished only seventh in the Premier League.

The club has installed Dutchman Louis van Gaal as their new manager and he will take charge after the World Cup where he has steered the Netherlands to the semi-finals.

the official pics of the new inter kit got me really thinking about picking one up.  I'm a little paranoid now with all these sponsor changes that if i don't own an inter jersey with Pirelli on the chest i may miss out.  Although i will still have my childs size Baggio jersey

Might grab a palacio jersey....i will then own the two greatest rat tail jerseys in inter history
