* SOCCER/FUTBOL/FOOTBALL FEET, KITS AND GEAR - 2014 *

Now this makes me hate the kit

Not even some white shorts? Maybe with some navy or hooped socks? Way too "meh"

They have to be somewhere no? Those are fire.
Missed their opportunity to emulate this look they did last year v. Arsenal with the new kit. Even as a United fan, I thought this was sharp.
man.. not really feeling these new puma arsenal jerseys.. i only like the home long sleeve..

Why is Nike considered a loser at this WC? because both teams in the final are adidas?
I would venture that plays a big part. But also considering the players in "Risk Everything" campaign

Ronaldo - 1 goal, team went out in groups

Ribery - no WC due to injury

Ibrahimovic - did not qualify

David Luiz - follow great goal in quarters with epically bad performance in the semis

Neymar - WC cut short due to injury (I think the injury actually helps his status; expecting him to be the focus for Nike in 2018)

The only player who actually came out "good" is Howard and his biggest feat still came in a defeat.

The kit business is crazy! Definitely not mad at Adidas for dropping the hammer, but I'm not excited about the three stripes going down the shoulder and sleeves of Adidas' kits; it's a bit OD design-wise to me...

As for Nike, I heard that one of the long-time soccer engineers, for boots, retired because he didn't agree with the direction of the company moving forward. As mentioned I'm sure, Nike planned to control the Soccer market by this World Cup and is still reported to be down half a billion dollars to Adidas. I'm sure Nike has other stuff up their sleeves, but surely losing the Man Utd contract is a bit of a hit to the Swoosh.

Living in Portland I know some people at Nike, they said that for what Adidas is paying it just didn't make sense to match for the United deal. Don't know if someone mentioned it but Adidas stock price took a hit when the deal was announced. It's A LOT of money and not necessarily going to pay off.

Nike jumped ship and realized Manchester City is where the titles are going to be.

Man...so many great looking kits ruined by logos. It's gonna be a sad day when NBA jerseys begin to look like this.

I had a chance to play with the Brazuca OMB the other day. I honestly didn't like it at all. It felt like those hard rubbery basketballs you played with in PE that could easily break your fingers. By the way, I'm not really feeling that template for our Puma kits. But I have a feeling I will warm up to them as the season progresses.

That new Dortmund kit looks terrible.

I would shoot up the club and then proceed to ksteezy the butt with no hesitation :pimp:
   NT Wont Let My Man KSteezy Live LMMMMAAAAAOOOOO 3rd ref i seen today
:nthat: :nthat:

Arsenals kits are not that bad man. Some minor tweaks with the white piping down the side and half piping on the sleeves would make the kit damn near perfect. They all wear long sleevs tho right? So we won't even see the half piping on the sleeves.

Those hooped socks will look great tho.

actually might choose to sit this season out as far as arsenal puma kits go. club charter has changed. they're going to be releasing 3 new kits every year from here on out. copping the tricks cleats and the wenger slug coat for sure though.

Stealth Pack - available now

Didn't know Pumas switched to Nike. These are nice.

Surely, those Pumas kits would go perfect with the Gold Pack on NikeID

Holy moly, 70mil/yr.

adidas is usually successful in selling shirts.

They have been sold better than the Liverpool ki9ts made by Warrior.

I expect Nike to sponsor Liverpool from 2015.

From the bigger names they have only Man City in the PL

and they are not really big in kits sales.

Juventus, Arsenal, Everton, Manchester United....
