2013 Retro 1 BRED Fake Guide.

Pretty sure I just got a fake pair, the leather is stressed (looks tumbled almost) on the inner upper, the box was in bad shape, and the laces were not neatly packed in the lace bag.  Also, is the bag of red laces always attached to the left sneaker, or does it matter?  Mine were attached to the right sneaker.  Also the shoe trees are def. white and not grey.

Always the left. The inserts placed in the heel of the shoe should be grey. Post a thread for a legit check with pictures of all the angles like the first post of this thread if you're unsure.

Thx for the quick reply - was unsure until I noticed in almost every unboxing vid they are on the left.  FML opening a case with paypal hope I get my $ back.

In the invoice did he state 100% Authentic? You have up to 45 days to file a claim with PayPal. If you want, PM me pictures of the Bred 1's before you file the claim to make sure they are in fact fake.

ebay listing said 100% authentic but nothing on paypal just a note that said Bred 1s.  I'll post pics shortly here might as well.

Who initiated that the transaction be done outside of eBay? I think you should be fine honestly.

His listing said "For a discount please email and go through pp directly" which is what I did when I won the auction.

Do all fakes not have the stamp in the box? I may have just ended up with those bgrades or something. Only thing is the lace bag looks a bit off but they are pre owned so idk if he tampered with them or not

I have gotten a pair from UNDFTD with no stamp...
 
I googled bred real vs fake and it took me here. I feel like the distance from the shoelace to the carb thing is kinda confusing. You would need both shoes side by side since not everyone wears a size 11. on top of that a size 11 is being compared to an 11.5

Also is it me or did the GM manufacturers use the pattern on the royal sole for the pattern on these :nerd:
 
First off, props for this thread. As someone who used to  buy from Taobao and was convinced that the shoes were the same as Authorized pairs minus the quality control checks (which lead to a lot of sloppiness), it took seeing the pictorial from Sneakernews.com on the OG Bred 1 to realize that all the TB pairs are most likely (extremely) high quality fakes. This thread expands on the SN article with a lot of great info, so respect to everyone contributing!

Now, this pair has really been irking me and I wanted to get y'all's take on it. (taken from @kickslimited's eBay listing, seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=291184952655&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:US:3160)

For the most part, they look good, but there are a couple things that seem off, mainly the lace bag, the spacing from the toe to the first perforations, and the rectangle box on the middle of the heel being the typical "fake" shape. I'm guessing if anything, they're probably just b-Grade quality, as the things that are off imo are things that could understandably be flawed. I'm just wondering if it's possible that Taobao/GM manufacturers have come up with a newer version with some mistakes fixed, which is something I see happening inevitably...
