They must be handing out some nice size checks, that is the only way I can see why a pro would want to participate in something like this.

What you guys think of Porter's ceiling ? Can Kell Brook pull an upset? Marquez vs Porter would be awesome fight. Marquez will be at the stubhub to scout his next opponent and will likely fight November or December.

freaky and I have gone back-and-forth on this. NT seems a slight lean for Brook. To reiterate, Kell Brook hasn't fought substantial competition in my eyes. Coming over to the States makes a difference as well. He has way more pop than Paulie and Alexander, so in a sense, Porter's chin will be tested. Shawn Porter will lose eventually, but not to Brook IMO. Tenacious about getting inside. Relentless with forward pressure and grinding shots. Works hard with pops year-round. Stays in proper fight condition majority of the time, not to say he's Tim Bradley.

Canelo Vs Lara PPV numbers are in and it sold 300k I don't think Lara will get a rematch
Canelo and Kirk could do slightly more. Canelo's Mexican support is obvious and traveling. But Kirkland's coming off a signature, violent KO victory over a promising, rising star in Tapia. Always his power style is conducive to general or moderate boxing fans. James Kirkland finishes fights, Lara does not. Lara's style is too aesthetic for the casual viewer, the Cuban-style of fighting is not beautified or glamorous.

I think they'll make Quillin/Jacobs instead of waiting to see who wins that fight. Depends if they still wanna keep matching him soft or not.

Sell big as the main too. But that would be putting Quillin in slightly tough. We'll see  I remember them denying to fight David Lemieux and that was when he had just got put down by Rubio. We'll see.

You're taking Danny over Kid Chocolate?

Wasn't saying that. Just would like to see him in with some livelier bodies at this point. I can't stress enough how much I abhor guys pegged and sold as top fighters with nothing on their resume. Then when they get destroyed their promoter gives up on them and they fade away. You've been fighting since you were 22 and there's not one top 10 or even top 15 guy on your resume, that's not someone I'm gonna peg as the next top MW. Danny Jacobs at least took the leap. Pirog put him down but there was at least the attempt made.

Gabe and Winky merit some credit. Your point still stands, I can't dispute Pete's level of competition. And I know his style isn't aesthetically pleasing to the viewers, being a counter-puncher and all.

Speaking of Pirog I haven't seen him fight since he beat Jacobs. I want to see him and GGG go at it.

Maybe Rosado...but not 2012 Winky  dude was 41, no semblance of the old Winky and fought like once since '07.
