Guess I was one of the few that bought it.

My Uncle called right before it started and payed me to order. I was already getting the stream ready

I bought it too. :nerd:

I didn't expect 1M or anything close to it, but considering it was Puerto Rican fighting another Latin fighter, I expected around at least 500k.

I said that a few pages back I assumed that 500K was very doable. However, you guys are spot on about the lack of promotion and the weak undercard so 300K is what should have been expected.

I too was hyped for it, but Ive always thought martinez was still living off that Punisher KO and I guess cotto is only big in NY.
It's no surprise that top rank has the worst undercards

Lara takes a lot of punches. I do t like that.

If Angulo can get those plodding hands on him I expect Canelo to get off. I don't know if Canelo can combat the Left. We'll see. Hoping for a great fight.

I think they're both overrated but will make a good fight.
Canelo isn't, he's better than people realize. It's just hard to see since he seemingly gets everything served to him on a silver platter. Same goes for Chavez Jr.

I never said that, have my own reasons to say he's overrated along with Lara and you can throw Junior in there as well. But then again, it seems like it's either you like a guy or you're a hater nowadays  so I will leave my opinion at that.

IDK how anyone expected Cotto/Martinez to do big buys when there was literally no promotion and they're both dudes who don't talk any kind of trash/let their talking in the ring define them.

It's more Arum propping it up than anything. If Cotto says he doesn't want that fight, it's not gonna happen. Cotto is one of those fighters vehemently against all this catch weight/making fighters jump weight classes ******** Manny and DLH started.

So against it that he had a catch weight his last fight against Martinez?

Glen Tapia fighting on GGG's undercard at MSG against Boyd Melson.

Wouldn't mind Tapia against Cotto, but Jersey Boy isn't ready. Especially after the brutality faced with Kirk. At least 12-18 months away from fighting top competition.

You know what I mean. We're not gonna use one pound on a guy who has been over below 159 (outside of two fights where he was 159.5) from the first Williams fight to the Cotto fight to disprove what I'm saying  Arum threw 159 out to Lewkowicz and DiBella and it wasn't even an issue. You know damn well I'm talking Manny type of catch weights

Well now

Scott (Los Angeles, CA)

Are you alarmed that Lisa Giampi is married to a Golden Boy employee? Seems like a clear conflict of interest.
Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak (12:09 PM)

She scored the Lomachenko-Russell fight 114-114 and is married to Chuck Giampa, who works for Golden Boy-owned Ring mag and GB has a vested interest in Russell so there are those who view that as a clear conflict of interest. She should have never been appointed to that fight.

Chill Champ, don't throw my dude into the fire pit like that, he's not ready for MAC yet. Ran into him at Quick Check a few weeks ago, sounds like he has regained his confidence back.

Slowly building back confidence after Kirkland. Collins, Melson, another gatekeeper before considering any serious competition.

Sidebar: Tapia loves his daughter, man. Respect.

Besides Roach trains Tapia now if I'm not mistaken.
You are correct. Roach took over right after the Kirk fight. Tapia is very close with Cotto and Manny. I was more daydreaming, my disdain for Desert Storm moving up to face MAC. Alex Devia was demoted right after the Kirkland bout.

Y'all catch 24/7 Canelo/Lara tonight

You mean All Access, did it air already?
First episode aired tonight at 9 PM EST before the Wade and Spence fights. Wade looked underwhelming. First three rounds were good pushing Brinson back with the jab. Way too green to be mentioning Peter Quillin by name as an opponent. Needs more experience and his conditioning is sub-par. First time Wade went past 6 rounds.

Yea I guess it is All Access. I thought Golden Boy fought on HBO. I've got the fights and 24/7 : All Access preprogrammed for first runs. I didn't realize until now it was AA NOT 24/7

Yea man I just got home. Recorded the All Access but not the fights MF.
Guess I'll watch this AA and catch the fights on rerun. Damn
