Yea but that's another guy who built a 27-0 record fighting a bunch of bums it was a good showing/win for Quillin because of what he showed...but still, a guy who didn't fight anything near a top 30 fighter in his weight class to get to 27-0, I'm not giving him too much credence either.

Maybe I'm either old fashioned or just too hard on these guys *shrugs* I don't believe you should be more than 20 fights in and in your late 20's without a step up in competition or even fighting someone with a pulse or with some meaning in there.

Speaking of Pirog I haven't seen him fight since he beat Jacobs. I want to see him and GGG go at it.

I think he's only fought twice since then. He was supposed to fight N'Jikam who had a sham Interim belt but chose to go for GGG. Suffered a really bad back injury though. I think it still gave him problems and he hasn't fought since '12.

Agreed, but Ndam passes the eye test. He'd give anyone at the top of the division a good fight. His fight vs Curtis Stevens should gauge if he really is a contender.

... Why wouldn't they just put Broner, Matthysse, and Santa Cruz on the card ??? What's the point of having Broner, Matthysse, and Berto fight the week before when they could've been used for the PPV?? Where's Ja Rule to make sense of this???

Guys like Broner and Matthysse command million dollar (In Broner's case) purses. That along with Floyd's guarantee and Maidana's bigger purse makes for an expensive card. Which makes no sense if you aren't gonna crack a million plus buys on PPV.
