Now that Guillermo Rigondeaux is a free agent, I'm hoping that he can get the lucrative fights that he deserves.  He has constantly called out Leo Santa Cruz and I wouldn't mind seeing those two share the same ring.  Leo is currently scheduled to fight on the Mayweather-Maidana II undercard against a fighter not yet named.  If he wins that would make for a nice 122 lb. showdown this winter.

The only downside is that Leo doesn't want the fight at all.  A couple of weeks ago he claimed that after this fight he would like to fight two more fights before facing Rigo.  He seems to believe that he has the tools to beat Guillermo and he'll fight him whenever the fans call for the fight, but then contradicts himself by saying that he still needs two more fights.  Regardless of if/when this fight happens, Rigondeaux would easily box his ears off to a UD.  He's too skilled, smart, sharp and fast for the smothering style that Santa Cruz' possesses.

I hope NO ONE goes to Barclays. Teach them a lesson for putting up this terrible terrible card. Maybe that'll stop them from this non-sense.
Ardent supporter of the sport regardless of the strength of card.

I would love to see Rigo fight Lomachenko one day.

As the division currently stands, yes, but not if El Chacal moves up.
Out of all the big 3 Cuban boxers, I find myself liking Lara more than Rigo or Gamboa. Although the latter earned tremendous respect for slugging with Bud. FOTY candidate.

I urge you all NOT to watch the fight live, and find other ways of watching it. Viewership has to be down for that crap.

Anyone think PBF would have a hard time making 40?

What about this:

Garcia KO's this "guy" Saturday. PBF dominates MM in Sept.

PBF VS DG May 2015 for the 40 and 47 straps?

PBF becomes undisputed at 40,47,54.

Who else is there realisticly for PBF after MM. Khan if he gets by Devon or Ghost?

Would be an epic battle of cherry pickers to determine the undisputed cherry picking champ.

Who did/do you think Floyd ducked or should have fought?
Who isn't a cherry picker to you?

Perhaps not so much earlier in his career, but you can't argue that Floyd only picks opponents he knows he will beat at this point. Why do you think Floyd won't be remember for any great fights like the champs of past.

Fighter's in general that accept fights that involve risk aren't cherry pickers. If you only accept the fights you know you will win, you won't get any respect.

Well to have this discussion without major biase is hard for most fans. But once again Who did he duck? Seriously, Im not a FM apologist im a boxing fan first. My only problem is the he didnt make the MP fight. Regardless who you belive is at fault that should have been a triology from 2008-2012. Would  have done wonders for the spor, other than that "situation who has he ducked? Who did/do you want to see him fight to earn your "respect"? Are you one who believes he ducked the likes of Pun and Margarito? When was the last Tune up fight for Floyd? Baldomir? Did Baldomir take Judahs belt (cant remeber if judah lost a belt in that fight, think he had just gotten from spinks i could be wrong though)? He tried to get the Shane and DLH fights years back but it was not good business for either of those guys at the time. Im just curious who do you guys think he should have fought besides MP?  and please do not mention anyone over 54 for a guy who should be proably fighting at 40.

IMO Floyd ducked Paul Williams

That's it.

I think he would have had major problems with Paul especially after Paul bounced back vs Quintana.

Mannnnn I miss Punisher.
