Does your girl ask you to do this?! Do I have grounds to say hell to the no.. or is this common place?

If I don't know you, I wouldn't want you at my party.

I'm confused. You're going to attend the party with no kids of your own? Will you and others act as kids at the party?

 >D

Being 31 and having no kids, often times me and the wife are caught up in similar situations since all out friends already have children....they invite us to the bday parties but there is always the elephant in the room...kind of sucks, also my boys girls lowkey throw subliminals to try and get at my wife since she's the only one with a ring around her finger...they feel they must always throw up the fact they are mothers and she isn't somehow....weird and shady as hell.

I wouldn't go. I would't take it personal if I wasn't invited either. I mean, kids' birthday parties are for kids, no? As a friend, I would still give a gift, but I would feel odd being there with no children. Or, if it's that bad, if you have a young cousin or niece or nephew, take them so you wouldn't feel too out of place. *shrugs*

Not married but I know this all too well

Not going to lie.. I lol'ed at some of these responses. Calmed me down. Her friend is having a party for their twins and she is dying to go. Apparently there is going to be an "adult party" within the residence.. I call BS. I've said no, north of 5 times already.. so im just wondering if I was being unreasonable.

I love going to kids parties even if I have no kids because it reminds me that I don't want to have kids any time soon (if at all).

Honestly tho, my belief is that in the beginning of a child's life, the parties are more for the parents to show of their young child - so the parents just trying to stunt in front of their friends.

I have kids of my own and still don't go to bday parties with them! A kids party is just that, a KIDS PARTY. The wife goes but I don't.

I went to 2 kids bday parties last year... Both were 1 year old, daughter of a friend and nephew of a friend... Get a little gift for the kid, go and drink a couple beers with the dudes.

That said, Probably wont go when the kids get a couple years older though.
