Been reading this thread for too long and it's been too entertaining to not give something back. Gonna type up a story about my last year and be back with it sometime this weekend is done. I think it'll be good for me honestly. I'll start it in order to give me motivation to carve some time out and finish it.
Took a job with the government. I went to training 2000 miles away home. My group had 8 people training together for 16 months. Absurdly, a lady who lived her entire life less then 5 miles away from me back home, went to college in the same city I did, whose best friend in HS was someone I knew well in elementary and middle school, was in that group. Never seen her before in my life. Half-Iranian, half-Swedish woman. Hit it off well but I waited a long time to make my move because work is usually a no-no for me. Couldn't resist this one though. Felt different you know? When I did, we fell in love in a matter of weeks. But she broke it off, saying and I quote, " I remind her too much of one of the worst things I've done in my life." Ugh.
I'll post a lot more details later. There's a lot I've learned and I hope y'all do to, I laugh at it now but it's been a rough past year or so for me in regards to females. I've hurt other women just to ease my pain. A lot of self-destruction. I'm only beginning to fully come out of it.
Thought I was in a novel for a minute last year. Star-crossed lovers or something smh.
Sorry to tease but I'll be back with the rest of it soon. Unless y'all think the hopeless and intense romantic that I can be is too much for y'all ? This was not a hook-up on tinder to say the least.

I need to hear the story here but if I had to guess...
She was so into a guy before, that she invested a lot into him and started losing herself. Sounds like she may have just gotten back to being her own independent person after an intense love affair that she may have lost some of her own identity in. It's easy to get caught up in the "us" and forget that what makes a special relationship so great is two powerful individuals. You guys were in a training program for a new job so maybe that was her getting herself right again and it was just the wrong time for her to be in fall. Sorry about that if that's the case. That'd suck.
My ex totally lost herself with me. She would constantly tell me towards the end of our relationship she didn't feel good about herself unless she was with me an she used to, and she needed to get that back. I can't blame her. Her life was in shambles and as much as she wanted to make it work with me it just seemed to complicate everything.
What I learned from that is to make sure the next girl I date was confident and had her own goals that didn't revolve around just being with me. It's flattering to have someone relocate and pick up a new job, change their life to be with you. But I've realized it's not always right and people need their own goals besides just doing whatever they have to to be with someone they care about. You gotta complement someone in a relationship, not need them, or have them need you. How we tell dudes in here to focus on their career and money and gamba will come. Well, I think females gotta do that too sometimes. "What's the perfect girl if it's not the perfect time" is a situation all to familiar with me.
