NFL Wild Card Weekend In Review....Sponsored By Land Rover & State Farm...

I cant get on AJ too much, ball was behind him and a Charger defender did get his hand on it to help knock it away.

- Hats COMPLETELY off to the defense man. JJ and Melvin were ALL over the backfield. I counted several plays where Ingram disrupted timing or was || close to a sack.

- Rivers played efficient football. Nothing flashy, no risk taking. Which equaled ZERO turnovers.

Not giving Dalton any sort of "break" but he's still learning how to play in this league. He needs to also learn that being the QB of a team does make him accountable to take the blame, especially when he played as poorly as he did today.

The loss isn't completely on Dalton, but a major part of it was his fault.
He has one of the best OC's in the game. It's his third year and third playoff game. 0-3. He's the problem.
I'd have to agree. Has the weapons and defense to succeed.

Also shouldering a loss is something a QB learns in high school, college at the latest. Immature response on Daltons part.

Thank you. That's the last I'll say because I don't want to completely ether Red Rifle.

Even when it's not Peyton or Brady's fault, they accept the responsibility to protect their team and teammates from further criticism. Nip it in the behind. Great leaders do that. Then rebound and rally. Like the Tebow speech after 31-30 loss to Ole Miss.

Bump for Eagles and Packers fans still hungover from buffalo chicken dip...

-Andy Dalton is a disgrace.  That team must hate him.  One of the most talented rosters in the NFL and he lets them down year after year....  They're never hitting that window with him at QB.

Top-5 O-line, Gio Bernard, BJGE, A.J., Marvin Jones, Tyler Eifert, Gresham....

-Chiefs on the other hand I just feel bad for.  Every point they left on the board, every tiny mistake they made, came back to haunt them.

-Colts on the other hand are teflon.  Andrew Luck can play like complete crap and still come back and dominate his way to the victory a couple drives later.  Never seen anything like it.  Truly the luckiest team in the NFL.

-I think we all knew deep inside the Packers were not getting a stop on that final drive.  Too much to ask for that crippled defense.  Kaep did a great job using his legs when necessary.  He loves playing the Pack.

-That said, I don't love when games like Saints-Eagles and 49ers-Packers basically end as a result of clock management.  When they're that close I always wish I could see the other team get a chance to deliver its own punch.  But that's the name of the game.....

-GO HAWKS!  Go Panthers.  The dream is alive.

Eagles
- in the playoffs any mistake you make ALWAYS comes back to haunt you, missing that field goal in the first half proved to be the difference between a win and a loss.
- defense had been in tight situations like that all season, sometimes they pulled it out (Dallas, ********) but this time they did not, the Saints final drive was a clinic
- Foles played well statistically but left way too many plays out there. the holding onto the ball was infuriating to me, but he's young he'll learn from this.

Everyone Else
- Andrew Luck has ice water in his veins, what a comeback by them. I know the Chiefs were dropping like flies the whole game but there is NO excuse when you have a 28 point cushion, make a SINGLE adjustment on TY Hilton and you win that game. Alex Smith played a pretty good game but those slightly off throws to Davis and Bowe will haunt him for months
- Andy Reid's clock management is something I DEFINITELY do not miss, what a screw up
- Andy Dalton really has 2 touchdowns in 34 playoff possessions :x, my God it doesn't get any worse than that. Gio and AJ Green played their part in that L yesterday too but I'm not sure if Dalton hasn't hit his ceiling already, then again what other option do they realistically have?
- Packers played about as well as they could have given their personnel, they just weren't talented enough on defense this season. Micah Hyde had his chance to make a play and dropped that pick then Kaep proceeded to kill them with his legs, again

To the 49ers fans, does Donte Whitner EVER use his arms to tackle? I couldnt stop laughing after Lacy ran his sloppy *** over

The Bengals are a one and done team as long as Dalton is involved...but since its the Bengals changes wont be made until its wayyy too late

The real is back...............

--Young Kap back at it!!  A very good game by the 49ers overall.  We have to do a better job of clock management and not leaving points on the board.  You would think Greg Roman is working against us a times.  Stop abandoning the run in the second half as well.

--Crabtree in the Obsidan's....

--Not sure how or if Marvin Lewis retains his job, but at the same time the game yesterday was lost by Dalton and not Lewis so that may be his saving grace.  Still though, after an entire decade no playoff victory under your tenure, that doesn't help matters.

--Chargers with Rivers behind the wheel are looking solid.  We'll see what if anything they can do next week.

--Danny Woodhead is the goods, can't take that away from him.

--The Eagles need to sure up their defense in order to have a more complete team.  That offense is going to be good for awhile and Nick Foles is and does look solid.

--Drew Brees and Co. finally with a pivotal road victory and dealing with the elements......."bullet's breeze/Brees bayou like Louisiana mang"

--Being a game manger will only get you so far Alex Smith, he missed a key deep throw late in the game, but Bowe should been able to get both feet in on that last throw.  Chiefs and their fans have got to be sick right now giving up that huge lead.

--Congrats to Andrew Luck and his massive fanbase on here for that comeback victory.  I'm sure they are quite happy with the results as is.

He does and has......but he loves to go for the BIG hit.  We're talking about a guy that wanted to legally change his name from Donte Whitner to Donte Hitner, that's just how he is.  Also, let's not act like Whitner didn't give Lacy the business earlier in the game with a hit he put on him.

-/+

- Andy Ice
- Chiefs blew it even with all of Luck's turnovers
- Rodgers in close games
+ Luck with some luck and an amazing comeback
+ Rivers with the efficient game
+ Chargers running attack

Yall bringing up Rodgers close game record when the D let Colin milk 5+ minutes off the clock to kick a 33 yarder. Not to mention his first week back after 2 months he threw the team into the playoffs on a 4th and 8 with less than a minute in the game?

Defense needs an overhaul.  Raji wants $8M+? Nah... Although he did have the "Gravedigger" Gilbert Brown look going yesterday.

Morgan Burnett doesn't make plays.  If only Ted would nut up and go get Byrd or Chris Clemons...

Injuries man... 295th string LB Molumba out there with a f***** up knee for why?  Dude was hobbling while Kaep blew by him.

Deuce, don't act like your boy didn't get flattened last night...  Whitner looking like Woodson when Brandon Jacobs rolled him in '07.

@Chester McFloppy This dummy @Proshares messed around and sent me the money... Better luck next time.

--Danny Woodhead is the goods, can't take that away from him.

Been saying all season, easily the BEST off-season acquisition the Chargers made. Playmaking ALL YEAR.

--Crabtree in the Obsidan's....:pimp: :pimp:

However, Playoff XII's were his choice last night. He'd been alternating with the Gold/White joints. (Not sure why he isn't wearing those more often...especially with the road unis.)

-Why does lucks comeback gotta be luck?? Or is it just a play on words?

-Lol@ EVERYONE in here picking green bay and philly. Yet nobody acknowledges. Convenient amnesia?

There's a lot of unserved crow amongst us.

-Eli woulda kept Dwayne bowe in bounds while throwing the perfect throw.

-gotta admit San Diego surprised me. Really had more faith in the bengals D.

Yeah Whitner took a big hit from Lacy on that one but Whitner let his presence be known earlier in the game to Lacy as well.  We didn't give up a big run so I'm cool with that.

Good catch on that one.  I thought he went with the same ones from before.

- Chief with that choke job  . I blame the oh so conservative calling from fat Andy
- Luck ain't no joke.
- Chargers :pimp:
- Manning always has a problem with the Chargers. I would not be surprised if the Broncos lose this one.
- GB :smh:
- Big shout to the Saints for taking out the Iggles. Too bad it's over for you guys in Seatlle.
- Dalton needs to learn how to slide.

Post your observations from Wild Card .....

-Eagles fans with their "what a great season it was" BS when the game was over. LOL. Lowered Expectations...

.

What expectations should we have had for a 4-12 team with a new head coach and a defense transitioning to the 3-4?

"Five of Green Bay's nine possessions either failed to pick up a first down, resulted in negative yardage before punting, or both. Unlike the 49ers, the Packers were a dismal 3-for-11 on third down."

Yeah lets just put yesterday's game on the defense though...

Once you get in the tournament, its anybody's show. Don't give me that "we weren't even expected to be here" BS when you lose at home. LOL. Especially when some of you clowns were looking ahead to the conference round. Its pathetic.
