DTLR being penalized by Nike..

I don't know if this is true or not...I'm posting to see if there is any validity to the information I received.
It was indicated to me over the weekend that Nike would be cutting the shipment size of DTLR's "hyped" sneaker releases for approximately 4 months? What was relayed to me is that the cause of this was due to the shady dealings that transpired over the entire month of December?... customers being deceived about purchasing process, customers guaranteed pairs sold to cohorts of employees, employees selling sneakers early and or taking an absurd amount and selling them for large profit margins....
Someone please give me some insight...I've heard some sad stories over the month
I was on the verge of filing complaints myself with DTLR headquarters and Nike over something that transpired...so when I heard was like good...serves em right :smh:
 
Dtlr has def gone down hill since the ticket process started.
 
From what i heard it came from selling older shoes to overseas third party retailers. Which in a way cuts out of nike's profits, so they got the account suspended.
 
that's weird. I always saw dtlr discount the heck out of product to get it out of the store. guess they figured they would go another route :lol:

that's what im saying... dudes clean out DTLR when the stuff gets marked down. I know they started expanding operations but to start selling overseas is like wow. I mean, professional bulk buyers gloat about how they clear out DTLRs sale items and get the mil discount on top of that. One dude had a car full of DMP 1 packs back in the day :lol:
 
Got a pair of black/grey air raids back in 06 for 30 bucks. DTLR use to be the gold mine, sucks that theyre doing the shady **** now

My brothers friend worked at my local Mall's dtlr and I was able to buy as much pairs I wanted back then. Just had to pay him the night before the release and I was good to go. I know it's messed up but it is what it is

And when they stopped doing FCFS, and started doing raffles. :smh:

You could see it in there eyes when you asked about the raffle that they were lying to you. We aren't sure when it's going to be yet. Call back tomorrow :rolleyes
 
I think they will still get some nike merchandise. They told me they are getting the 6 rings in a few weeks.
 
Yeah, they're getting all the lesser stuff.

Them and Villa used to send out practically the same e-mails with the same Jordans, KD's and Lebron's for that week and they've stopped with DTLR.

Bruh, you aint lying they are shady individuals...it's like that every where now...no matter store, or city. I'm glad they got suspended because the way they were doing the raffle and lying to people. I went out of my way to the one in Glen Burnie 2x and was the first person in line....dude opened the door and said "we're not doing them today, we will be doing them tomorrow"...I come in the morning the following day...he opens the door..."yea we are doing it, just give me a second" he goes in and makes a phone call comes back..." I talked to manager and he/she said we not doing it now, we will do it in the evening"...wouldn't give a time or anything... you can tell the whole time by the looking them dead in the face suttin fishy was going down. Should've kept it first FCFS...people can handle not making it there on time or a camp out instead of being lied to and jerked by a fake raffle.


I said bump it, i'll take a "L" on these, too old to be doing all this for some kicks....luckily my fam back in Jersey that works in a HoH looked me out.

yea man they are definitely foul now and I used to vouch for DTLR as being stand up when it came to hot releases.

I went to one DTLR during the gamma XI release. Asked when the pickup window ends because I wanted to see if any GS sizes were there for my fiancé. Shorty straight up told me the pickup times vary because they told groups of people to come at different times. So naturally I ask, well, when are the pickup times expiring so I can see if I can grab the pair for my girl.... "I don't know but call at 5 and we will know something better."
Of course, I called at 5 and I got hit with the quick "sold out" response when I was just there a couple hrs earlier and saw a nice amount behind the register.

But seriously.... different times for different groups? Yea ok.

Crazy thing is...I was there for my wife too..
Fortunately she ain't want them like that after she remember the blk/red 1s were dropping.
 
:lol:.... my girl don't fool with 1s unfortunately. shes likes IV-VII & XI - XIII for the most part like I do.
 
It's not DTLR who's doing it dirty but the employees are holding pairs for their friends and family so they can flip for money.

At the end of the day, getting paid $7.25 an hour, can you blame em?

I haven't been there in years. I think since the fruit colored Olympic 6s dropped. it was cool back then but im sure it got bad once the HoH opened up.

I remember how chill the employees were at Champs for the packs. One told me to come pay early and theyd put a gc with my pack and I can just get them on release day. I didn't even know the staff and it was chill like that.

The employees pretty much get dibs on any hyped release

Like for the red/black 1’s they didn’t sell any to the public lol

They always get away with it too
