Let's be honest tho, Gucci wouldn't have dropped the check for Thug. Mind you Lyor actually got fam doing interviews and whatnot, something that definitely helped "Best Friend".
Idk wen it dropped Travi$ thanked Lyor for putting it out, mind you Travi$ has had problems releasing music himself. MigosThuggin & MetroThuggin not dropping definitely sucks and Lyor should have definitely got it worked out tho.
Thug could definitely be bigger but 300 aint even a major and I can't rly think of ppl bigger than him on a major.

It's 2016, the fans want music more than anything, he already has a cult following and his **** is melodic enough to play on pop radio.

Son don't need interviews and **** like that tho. He got all the comforts signs he need, he just needs to pump out bangers. Interviews ain't helping fetty, future and panda boy. With them and digits are songs that should be pushed. Why block mixtape from dropping when future proved that recipe works just fine.

I said this a while ago. In 2016 I don't see why anybody would sign to Lyor Cohen. Thug was moving at a good pace from Rich Gang 1 til Lyor took over.
And SS3 is probably the best thing he's ever done. I'm Up shoulda never came out. SS3 shoulda came out when it was supposed to and throw Hercules and **** Cancer on there. It's a few songs on SS3 that could be pushed. Memo, Slime ****, Digits.

Future & Desiigner are on majors, Fetty was just on a crazy snowball last year
Interviews aint essential but dude actually had fam doin press which helped his music. If I'm not mistaken SS1-3 is a consistent series of good projects versus naming 1 project.
I don't agree with blocking tapes but dude makes so much music and releases so much I aint that mad.

Fact of the matter is lyor is doing nothing but holding him back/slowing this process down. He literally could be exactly where he's at now independent. Unless it was lyor idea for him to dress how he dress and call his homies Bay, boo etc he's useless for real. Dude ig got him more buzz than any label couldve.

I'm not the biggest fan of Lyor but I do think he's somewhat helped Thug. Bruh is too random and impulsive to be out here dolo, this ***** would just wake up and drop whatever if it was up to him 
His engineer said when Thug was running his own **** sometimes he would find out the release dates on IG with everybody else because this ***** would just randomly say **** it I wanna drop a tape and make a post announcing it

Not even that fam wasn't even putting it out. Once Lyor came on the scene, BestFriend was on iTunes, SS2 was on iTunes, his tapes are on his official YouTube so the views are going directly to them.
Now whether or not the gwap off that goes to him or not could play a part in him but Lyor definitely has Thug movin smarter
