T-Mobile to cover ETF (up to $350) for new users....vol. your move next, AT&T

you making my decision easier. I think I'm going to cop two S5 and reup with Sprint and then the next day go to tmo and have them pay my etf while trading in some bs phones.

Sprint doesn't even have LTE in the metro area here. Only the suburbs. They are lost.

yall thought i was joking when i been saying Sprint is the worst.

and half of NT laughed at me when i said TMobile would be good in the future. look through my posts, been saying this for years. Tmobile is right behind Verizon IMO. No ones touching or taking over them tho :x

Yeah..I would agree with this.

Sprint is garbage mainly because they're 3G is practically unusable.

Hell sprint ain't even got decent coverage in a major metro area like DC.

Your only covered with $350 a etf so you might not be fully covered plus you have to had in those 2 phones. You should just head to T-mobile on S5 release

I would think they'll cover all the lines, oh well. I don't think I want the S5, I don't see many if any really upgrade over the G2. not sure why people sleep on the G2?

If you don't see a reason to upgrade over the G2 then I say grab a phone on the jump program. After 6 months you can just get the new thing. Is only $10 and it includes insurance if you break anything.

People Sleep on the G2 because LGs more popular flagship is the Nexus line by LG

tmobile is giving everyone an extra .5GB of LTE if you already got a plan or getting one.

so the 500MB plans will now be 1GB with no price increase

2.5GB will now be 3GB and so on

So its gonna change automatically? I don't have to call or anything?

I got an email about this, thought I had to pay or something and promptly deleted it. When does it start? I don't have to call or anything do I?

yea, i think starting March 23rd it goes into affect for existing customers. If you get tmobile emails you should have got it, its also on the website.

Directly from tmobile:

Simple Choice customers will automatically get the added benefits of these program updates, so there is no need for existing customers to change anything about their current services or plans. Customers currently with unlimited 4G LTE data will continue to get unlimited 4G LTE data with no change in price, or they can opt for the new unlimited 4G LTE option with twice the tethering.

So with the jump program when im ready to upgrade is this how it goes

I trade in my device, and tmobile cover the remaining balance up to half of the phone, but my question is do they use the trade in value to come up with a dollar amount?

So then when that is done i have to put another down payment out of my pocket on a new phone and start the payments per month over again?

Seems like a fools way of upgrading to me

exactly what I said when the dude told me. basically the way they put it was "once the phone is half paid or more, they week excuse the remaining balance take the phone back, give you another phone and you start again". pretty stupid if you ask me.

while the whole thing is confusing, i wouldnt buy a phone unless you know you re gonna keep for a long time. the whole thing is stupid because now, regardless you are paying the full MSRP on the phone which is usually $500-700

paid cash for my iphone 5 last year almost 700. biggest waste of money :x

wont be worth jack when the 6 comes out but im not doing no monthly crap or paying extra for an "upgrade"

if you put things into perspective, T-Mobile was just smart by saying no two year commitment. mentally it's stimulating because one feels free. however, you are still paying full price for the phone and eventually things equal out or you might just end up paying more.

Example, with Sprint you are paying 75 unlimited everythin, with Tmobile you are paying 70 unlimited everything. Now with Sprint must phones are 100 or less. with t mobile you pay retail and its included in your bill. 20 more.

gimmicks and wording.

So how much are you all paying monthly (including taxes and fees) with T-mobile? My girl is thinking about switching from Sprint $112/month to T-mobile. Her service is horrible in DC and the $80 unlimited plan is really close to $120 after fees and taxes its not worth it.

Exactly. Now if it wasnt for the payment plan charges for my 2 phones i would come out cheaper..But really since they have payment plans on the phone the cost is about equal unless you pay it off fast. best thing to do is use your old phone when you switch or buy one off craigslist, and trade in a old dino phone and also buy the cheap $70 tmobile evolve so you qualify for etf to be paid
btw, anyone know if you unlock the sprint G2 would it work in tmobile if I insert a SIM?
yes it will

2 lines 1 with unilimited data and the other with 2.5gb Im paying $110 a month.... Now that is not including my monthly payments for my phone which is about $23 So really it is $133 a month

Now the good news is you have options and some good discounts which im going to use and you can to

1. if you sign up for AAA emergency roadside assitsance which is $40, you get 10% of your monthly bill plus a one time $50 credit PER LINE!  Win WIN

I think the AAA os for employers not sure didnt get a clear answer but you can try the others below

2. You can always sign up with corporateperks.com and get 15% off your monthly recurring bill.

or go to link below for other discounts

http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=58549610&postcount=378

ahh nevermind #1 and #2  tmobile killed those. No more association discounts only corporate. Meaning your employers discount

3.. Buy your phone of craigslist a tmobile phone. Then at tmobile just buy the cheapest phone which is the $70 tmobile evolve, that way you wont have monthly payments. A phone off craigslist such as s4 should run you $200 to $300.  Trade in any old dino phone to qualify for etf

sell your sprint phones on craigslist so that the cost of the other phones yu bought on craigslist will be covered back to you

win win
