**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

I play Meek's song all the time, I rarely play Drake's. I think Drake's had better disses but the more I listened to it, it's a typical radio Drake song. I know more broads that like Back to Back than men. Even the punchlines are aimed at the female audience to singalong.

As for Meek, I love the beat and I love the flow. I think the first verse is great. The mumbling is stupid but when you make out what he's saying, I love it. First verse is definitely good. The biggest problem with the song is the hype he created, he doesn't really say **** in the second verse and the mumbling. To be fair though, Drake isn't saying **** on his song either. The end of the first verse when he starts off with your girl's tour is great. Most of the second verse, he's not saying **** either. Just like Meek. That's why this beef frustrates me. Drake's disses were not great but I liked them. Social media took it and made better disses and meme's than Drake.

Now when that sh*t went down with Chris, you wrote a check
In New Orleans wore my chain to get respect (you a fraud)

So what that tell me? You a pu**y and a fan
Say the wrong sh*t you know the shooters at your neck
I just wanna know, if you ain’t write that running through the six sh*t
Tell us who the f**k was Quentin running through the six with?
Running through the six with my woes
Counting money you know how it goes
All the real live forever baby
And the fake get exposed
Ni***s writing for you cause you know you never did shi*t
When I threw that hook out, I was tryin' to catch a big fish
We the type of ni***s to tie your mother up
F**k your sister in the a** and hit your brother up, p***y
You really sweet, I call you buttercup
You fu***ng dork you changed the style because you studied us
Coming with the same flow
Switching up your lingo
We just want a refund, this ain’t what we paid for
Every time that we come, we get what we came for
Spitting another n****s sh*t, but you claim you king though?

Yeah fam Yall are two of few lol. Everybody jamming back to back

I'm definitely one of the few. One song sounds like a diss song, one song sounds like a radio hit. When it comes to disses, I don't want a catchy *** song aimed at women. I love the bars he said at the end of verse 1 but I can't listen to Drake like that. If I didn't listen to rap, I would have no clue Drake's song was a diss record. I think Drake had better and wittier disses in his song but not by much. That's why I wanted to hear 3Peat because Back to Back wasn't anything special.

The "im not a fan of either" guys

What's that mean? You saying I'm really a Meek fan or something? Feel free to check my posts when Meek dropped his album. I said he was trash and his album was trash. Downloaded it and deleted within a day.

Back to Back is definitely a better diss. I like it more. Meeks joint as a whole is hot garbage, but bits and pieces of it have grown on me a lil. (Specifically some of the first part before he crashed and burned :x )

Meek isnt in my Top rappers list or anything but I definitely enjoy his work when he's focused.

I don't really hear the "aimed at women" theme to it but I feel you. It's not the traditional diss track

either that or you guys are setting the bar too high for these two. Almost everyone I know that saying this beef is weak (which it kind of is) are because they're comparing it to old school beef (almost always mention ether, takeover, etc.)

Word, like there wasn't beefs in between jay z vs nas and now lol like when it was 50 vs game I don't remember anyone being like "well jay z vs nas...." Etc

people saying the beef is weak because a "singing *****" is beating a "street rapper"

back to back is fire

"Coming with the same flow
Switching up your lingo"

Thats really funny coming from a ***** that only got one type of flow. Meeks diss was trash. Ain't no saving it

I think the main problem with meek diss was the delivery. Son legitimately sounded the WORST he could have on a diss track. Like you know it's bad when dudes are saying "Yall didn't go look up the lyrics, Yall don't understand what he was tryna say"

back to back is  fire. I don't see the "aim at women" vibe to it, there wasn't really a catchy hook women sing along to. I felt like drake executed his bars better, lowered the beat/instrumentals and said his punch lines. Meanwhile, meek mumbled through everything with the beat still going loud like he wasn't even trying to throw the shots. Like someone here said a long time ago, "Meek needs to enunciate his words". Dude talks like he's got braces on.

I gotta give you props for being consistent with your irrationality.

We all know you really don't believe any of the **** you're saying but the front you put up is admirable.

Repped. I laughed.

I see more women hash tagging those punchlines on FB, IG and Twitter than men. I think his disses were wittier than Meek's for sure but women eating that **** up like crazy. Song is a club hit, sounds like a single from Nothing Was the Same.

its drake the females love him, what you expect

50 vs Game is way more "entertaining" than this trash. Game came hard with his 300 bars, etc

This Cornball Drake AND Weak Mill BOTH came with NOTHING "memorable" as far as the music go. The crazy thing is when people talk about this "Hiphop music/Rap" diss, it's about the internet memes and not how dope the actual records are.

Honestly does it make Yall feel better when Yall don't like a song to say "hood dudes" don't rock w/ it, or women/"white America" rock with it? Lol

I've never not liked a song and been like. This is for white America and women  like if I don't like it I don't like it...why do Yall say stuff like that

Anyone arguing Meeks diss is better than Drake just needs to be ignored forever. I remember a interview with Drake saying he wants his diss records to be club smashes back when he was beefing with Common.

He managed to do that with back to back and destroy Meek. Nothing about Meeks diss was listenable, and the over hype probably due to the song not being ready destroyed him before he even dropped.

That fact that he's trying to let this all fade away like people aren't going to continue to clown him is laughable. The fact is your a below average rapper from the street of Philly that made a few great songs. End

I feel like people forgot Drake responded to Kendrick.

Definitely had better bars than that "tuck a sensitive rapper in his pajama clothes" dudes cling to lol. Double/Triple entendres.

Juicy J washed Drake on this tho. Don't debate me

Hell yeah Juicy washed him... damn Juicy came proper on this :x :pimp:

Never really messed with Juicy like that, but his last album was the best (to me) that dropped that year.

Still gets heavy play from me.

Will support Juicy J.

For me it was

My Name Is My Name
The Brown Tape
Stay Trippy

Nothing else was better that year

Juicy J been spitting struggle bars since the early 90's....

the fact that people like him now is a prime example of how pop culture loves dumbed down raps

Juicy J?

Yall serious?

Juicy J tho? Don't get me wrong, i used to listen to Three 6 Mafia.. but...

Juicy J >>> Drake >>> hangnail >>> locking your keys in the car >>> Meek Mill

I feel like 2013 was a real bad year for Hip Hop. A$AP Ferg, Juicy J and Pusha T are the only albums I can think of off the top of my head that I liked that year.

Some real good R&B albums that year though :smokin :smokin :smokin

the reason why Meek's diss track wasn't quotable or "hashtag-able" is because his punchlines weren't that great IMO and not executed properly for it to be memorable. You can easily say "world tour or your girl's tour", but whose going to remember "when **** went down with chris, you wrote a check".

Commercially maybe...

Good music is still being made if you know where to get it from and aren't relying on the machine to tell you who to listen to.

Back to back sounds like a Drake song the same way Takeover sounds like a Hov song. Ya'll are wilding with this "traditional diss song" vs "club record" nonsense. "Wanna Know" isn't even that bad a diss song lyrically, but in the context of the situation it just doesn't do much for him.
