**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

I think Meek needed all of this controversy, stress, and ridicule to go back to his roots. To re-evaluate his image. Dude definitely has the skill. Philadelphians have a rich music history.

He will look back and say, that his ordeal in 2015 was a life altering phase. If he returns with the same uninspired music, then, I don't know what to say.

I thought the same thing last year. Then he dropped the album and it was even more "Presidential rollie, ball like Kobe" type of tracks.

Oh I understand...But I never violated trying to switch water for pissed.

That's pure dumb on his part, fam... And you know it.
May be "dumb" but it's not a crime. It's a technical violation.

The DA is making a big deal as if he caught a NEW criminal case, or broke an actual United States law.

And that story is much too bizarre, anyone that's been in the criminal justice system would know better. The travel ****, maybe, the cold water **** is more than likely some sensationalized BS.

District Attorney's will normally say anything to get someone in jail just like a defense attorney will say anything to keep you out.

PO's are in the room when you pee. He couldn't just walk into probation with a bottle of Poland Springs. It doesn't work that way.

That DA should have better things to worry about than "technical violations". Guess she just tryin make the most out of her ONE high profile case.

These DAs/Judges wanna be famous like everyone else.

Unless you've sat in court on trumped charges and had a DA make you look like a serial killer, you wouldn't understand.

A lot of y'all are clueless.

Nobody is saying the system is perfect and most know the system is biased, but Meek has the means (money to pay for handlers and good lawyers) to not be in this situation. Plus DA's and judges got feelings to...you go at them on a record and/or generally disrespect them by not abiding by the rules of your punishment hell yeah they gonna come at you harder than Joe Schmo who's trying to do right. Add the fact that he's a public figure and they gonna come extra hard. Dude had to know that

Bruh
He ain't going to do hard time
A few months to a year MAX
and not saying that ain't a big deal
But "a real ***** from the streets
Who speaks for the hood
Whose gangsta
And will clap back at any ***** and any dweeb"
Crying over a lil violation that will get him a max of a year
Come on now

Bro...a year in Jail is a long a** time...plus you acting like any rapper who drops bars about being gangster is about that life. 1% of these dudes rappin' that were/are really in these streets. Jay Z said it best

..."you ain't live it, you witnessed if from your folks pad...you scribbled in your notepad and created your life"

So naw I don't think he's any less gangsta for tearing up...he wasn't hard to start with.

At what point do some of you feel empathy for people?

Some of you seem a little too happy

Someone can bring something on themselves and you can still feel sympathetic towards their plight.

I wish we heard the darker pre Nicki stuff he said he did.

He has had our empathy for 7 years
After a while it gets tiring

Bruh he says he gangsta
Threatens other folks and talks about how he getting his goons on them
In normal interviews he talks about how real he is and all that
Like I get it
I feel for dudes stuck in the system and know it's against us
But sometimes people put themselves in ****** up positions
Which he has done the last 6 months

Spoken like a true criminal

They shouldn't even have such a thing as parole violations right?

I wish we heard the darker pre Nicki stuff he said he did.
He said he was gonna drop another album + do a tape with Future (am I the only one who noticed Drake just finessed that

) before the beef.

Hopefully he puts it on DCIV. Wonder if that's still coming on X-mas.

At the end of the day the only one to blame here is Meek.

I feel sorry for him but he did it to himself

 @ acting like

1. You've known about Meek and his situation since 07/08.

2. It takes SO MUCH EFFORT to recognize that it sucks that dude is going back for slip ups and technical violations.

Some of y'all in here going waaay too hard on son. I wonder if y'all would care so much about the Philadelphia Justice System taking this ruthless killer off the streets if he didn't do all the corny social media **** revolving around the beef/Drake.
nerd.gif

In here talmbout he should do a year in jail over some missed paperwork and a failed piss test. Who raised you ******?

Don't see anyone saying he deserves to do years
Just that he needs to take responsibility
Just do his time and get it over with
IMO probation sucks
I know folks who say **** that
I'll just do my time so I have a clean slate
And ain't gotta worry about being violated
Idk man
I just think he shoulda been more in point
Watch when he gets out and do his media rounds
We gonna hear him AGAIN say
Maaaan I needed that time to sit down
I move different now yadda yadda yadda
Even though he said that last time

My P.O. was never in the room when I pissed.

Don't know about that one fam.
They watched us even in the halfway house. Not in terms of looking but to make sure it was our bodily fluid. Just told me to leave the door open. And not to flush until the sample is sealed. Still don't understand that one 100%. Even in there cats was gettin urine from others.

In NY if you fail a test you just have to take a course on drugs. You don't get violated. But I guess it all depends on the type of probation you have. His is for a drug and gun case so he probably gets tested often. And he's given dirty urine before.

Meh. Both sides are messed up. The DA obviously has a hard on for meek which is just another issue within the legal system but meek gotta take some personal responsibility. You know the DA wants to **** you so don't get caught slipping. Period.

As the saying goes, if you give a ***** enough rope eventually he'll hang himself. That's exactly what Meek did......hung himself. Only an idiot and clown would dare UNPROVOKINGLY disrespect a District Attorney who literally has your life in her hands. That's like being in the jungle up in the trees only to come down from the trees to poke a sleeping lion with a stick. We call that self-inflicted wounds.

You dudes gotta realize something, the "real world" is just like the streets.....there are some people you just don't mess with. Simple as that.

Exactly

Meek is from the streets, but ain't a real street *****. Two different things. There's plenty of dudes from the hood who do clown sht. There are also plenty of street cats that do clown sht as well.

As much of a clown that Meek is, I don't want to see that man in jail over something petty. Yes he's on papers, but leniency and reasonability is needed in the court system. Especially for young black men.

Meek done changed his life for the better.....and is still paying for a gun charge from a decade ago...meanwhile, the same judges are sending white people involved with heroin to constant rehab and preaching "compassion."

'Merica :smh:

While I agree somewhat
Being an addict
And walking around with a gun are 2 different things
I believe a non violent addict should be tried to be rehabilitated
Instead of sitting in a jail cell
And yes it may be petty
But rules are rules
The rules he broke weren't difficult
Outta the ordinary restrictions
Blame is on him

U ain't lying ^. That's rap tho, that's what dudes get confused. All these mainstream dudes ain't street ******, they just from the streets. Its messed up he still paying for a crime that long ago, but he should know they were waiting for him to **** up. They never take in consideration that dudes beat the odds and become successful. Only crime he committed since that time was violate. Court system is ****** but u gotta do your time like a man.

Man, we got addicts out here caught selling and using a lot of dope in Baltimore County....and some judges are dismissing the charges and preaching rehabilitation. Addicts stealing and finnessing to make a buck. The same addicts that do that 2 miles away in Baltimore city are in and out of jail and never in a rehabilitation center. Just just throw the book at them and forget it. In and outta jail. Only difference is their pigment. There's no empathy for "dope fiends" in the hood. But there is empathy for "heroin addicts" in the suburbs :smh: .

Meek out here still fighting a gun charge from 10 years ago...when he was a teenager living in one of the worst hoods in America. No understanding there. And the guy has clearly changed his life. Yet the judge wants to send him to jail on the first and quickest slip up smh. Dude should've been off papers.

System is f'd up.

But I'm not really sure he turned his life around
His antics say other wise
Not only that
Man U gotta learn to play the game
***** is almost 30
No excuses
He should be on his p's and q's
It's his fault
 but we all talking in circles
Let's see what his sentence is
And what he does after he gets back out
I hope him the best
But he making dumb decisions
Dude has a kid
Set an example is all

What "antics" are you talking about? He didn't catch a new case.

Only time you see sympathy for addicts is when they're white. Look at all the white celebrity coke heads.

Don't know bro. My father been incarcerated for 14 years Fed time.  While on papers, pops been back 3-4 years total. He finally got off papers 2 months ago and still living that life.

For some, it's all they know and its an addition.  For other like myself, you get tired of it.

Read this on one of my homies page. True story.

The Hood will sell crack to your mom..Watch Your Lil Sister grown up and try to knock her off...kill ya lil brother...send you to jail...steal your dreams...steal your family...F up friendships and do the same to the next generation behind you... and what you ****** fail to realize is no matter how much you love the hood, that bi.. will never love you back.
