Season 2 is absolutely great TV. It's lit. Season 1 is corny until the last few episodes. Stick with it. The writing and pacing in Season 2 makes it definitely worth it.

Pretty much. Flip and T.I.'s songs basically amounted to aimless threats and yo mama jokes. Then T.I.'s career started catching fire while Flip had album delays then bought out his contract. Funny thing is, Flip's content has gotten much better over the years, it's just that his flow is a chore to try to listen to cause it sounds like a mashup of other people's styles. But from 99-03, that was my dude.

I'm gonna finish season 2 when I get home from work It doesn't even compare to the wire because the wire tackled sooooooo much more stuff than the street **** while Power is mostly about two street dudes who make poor decisions influenced by vagina

I've never watched Power, but I don't think its trying to be anything like The Wire.
From what I understand it's more of a high end soap oprah similar to Shoda Rhimes type stuff.
