Getting an early start. lol

11-5 for this team considering what injuries we had and getting a playoff win was awesome. We overachieved again. Just hate losing to the Pats in the playoffs once again. :smh:

We have quite a few things to do in the offseason.

Need another WR. Out of the potential free agents, I would target Decker (yes I know what he did during the divisional game lol). Nicks I don't think gives a damn and Jones is going to be 30 years old. I am not a fan of getting a 30 year old WR. I would like to get one in the draft. I am very high on Donte Moncrief from Ole Miss. But we shall see what happens.

We need to make up our mind on Trich. I would like to see him go but most likely he is going to stay for one more year and if he cant cut it, hes gone. 1st round pick wasted. :smh:

The OLine needs to be the number one priority for Grigs. Satele and Thornton cannot be on this team. Especially Satele dude is complete garbage.

Also need to get some more pass rushers. We cant be depending on Mathis to ball out every Sunday. And we are def going to need to sign another FS. I don't think Grigs will bring Bethea back.

And please can we cut our losses with Landry? All he does is lift weights and be out of position.

My predictions for free agency signings. (EDIT: 4/16/14......I was wrong on all of them. lol)

- Alex Mack
- Eric Decker
- Jarius Byrd
- Brandon Albert (prob wont happen but I would like to see him at LT, move Costanzo to LG, have Mack at C, Thomas at RG, and Cherlius at RT)

Prediction for 2014 record: 12-4

LETS GO COLTS!!!!!

LUCK FTW!

Not a bad signing with Chud as an assistant. Wonder if they are stashing him in case Pep bails next year or if the offense performs bad, Pep gets canned. :nerd:

Needs:
C, WR

ILB, CB, S

Ideal Draft for the Colts:
R2
R3
R5
R7

C: Richburg, Bodine, Stork

WR: Adams, Moncrief, Huff

ILB: Bullough, Preston Brown, George

CB: Breeland, Dontae Johnson, Colvin, McGill

S: Bucannon, Ward, Bailey, Exum, Dowling

I like the resigning of Ahmad Bradshaw. The combo of him, Ballard, and Trich (if he ever comes along) should be nice and I have no doubt that he can take over the job if need be. Hope he stays healthy!

Arthur Jones should be a nice addition to the line. Nice rotation we should have at the DL. And again hopefully our signing of RJF does come around.

As far as Phil Costa goes, I dont know much about him so I cant really say. Dont know what the money was like but Im not sure if he was signed to be a backup so we can go get a top quality center or is Grigs hoping he found a diamond in the rough?

Glad we resigned Davis. I got scared with all those reports that he was ready to sign but not with the Colts.

Hopefully we can add Hakeem on a reasonable deal and hopefully build through the draft with the picks we do have.

Sad to see Donald Brown go, he was my favorite on that roster. Why does it feel like Bradshaw is like 33 years old? But I do like veteran experience he brings.

Hakeem is very good. If we do get him, I want a really short contract with even less gtd money. Has he ever played a full season?

It feels like he is 33 because he has been around since 07. He's 28 now I believe. We can get a couple quality years out of him IF he stays healthy.

^ what did we get Hakeem for? I haven't checked the nfl discussion thread.

Havent had a post in here for a bit........

Man cant wait for the draft to see what Grigs is going to do. Trade up? Or stick with what we have? IDK but whatever the case the defense, specifically the secondary needs help. Also some oline help would be nice as well.

And looking back on the Phil Costa deal, I dont understand it. If you werent going to bring anyone in of any sort of significance, then why sign Costa? Just get someone late in the draft to compete with Holmes if that was the case. But I still didnt like that we brought no one in that had a name. Ok no Mack, but not even look at EDS or De La Puente? IDK. Oh well, we shall see.

2014 Draft Class

T Jack Mewhort, OSU
WR Donte Moncrief, Mississippi
OLB Jonathan Newsome, Ball State
ILB Andrew Jackson, Western Kentucky
T Ulrick John, Georgia State

I'm like the first pick but I personally would have went with a safety. People are going to be throwing on us with Landry and Howell as our safetys. :smh:

Mewhort can fit in as a LG taking Reitz's place. Dude has to ball out at that position. Cant be having Luck on his *** or hurried all the time.

Moncrief is a great addition! Hopefully he can be a long term solution.

Wayne, Hilton, Nicks, Rodgers, Moncrief, Brazill. :smokin :smokin :smokin :smokin

Nice receiving corps there. :D

^ i love the addition of moncrief. I love passing offenses so they should be fun to watch as long as the line can give us time.

Lets be honest the run game isn't looking good right now (trent) and I will surely miss Donald Brown. I wanted Hyde but he was outta reach.

How are those defensive acquisitions? Thats where we really needed help. I don't know either of those guys.

Oh yeah the running game isnt looking too good. It has potential if Bradshaw can stay healthy but thats a big IF. Ballard is a solid rb but nothing that has breakaway speed. Good hard nosed get the 4 yards running back. And Trich well I dont need to say anything about that.

I dont know much about the linebackers chosen but what I have read is that Newsome is a very versatile LB and he can sit and learn from Mathis (bc Werner so far hasnt looked too good. Hopefully he turns it around). And Jackson is a run stuffer (which is what we need).

But to be honest with you, Grigs not taking any secondary help is baffling to me. I mean Toler is going to get hurt (thats a given) and Landry & Howell are our safeties. :smh:

Edit: Just read he took a couple guys from the undrafted free agent pool in the secondary, so lets see if anyone makes the team.

I'm also liking the signings of DL Zach Kerr and C Johnathan Goodwin off the free agent pool. Let's see how it works out!
