Toyota SUPRA -2021 adds 2.0L 255hp to the line-up, 3.0L power increased to 383hp

Front is F1-inspired to those wondering.

The front end screams Enzo at me for some reason...

Which was also inspired by F1 cars.

I understand why a RMR like the the Enzo would use F1 inspired styling but it seems out of place and overly showy on a FMR like this.

I thought manufacturers quit going so ridiculously overboard on concept designs. This thing looks like a terrible mid 90s hackjob with random parts tacked on from popular newer cars. These kind of overboard concepts looks like they're made to appeal to children. They even chose a tacky fire engine red for its debut color.

Eh, the IS and RCF came pretty close to the concept design with the wide aggressive grill and futuristic eyes.

I do not feel it is too much really and it is getting wide praise so far. Cheap ninja-bodykit is the last thing that comes to mind when I see it, it's too smooth and aerodynamically sleek to me eye to be some tacked on, cheap body kit. I think it's nice. Tone down the aggressive nose and the aggressive points and angles (especially the back) and slap Supra or Celica name on it and it is going to sell well.

Is this the BMW-Toyota collabo? or is this different?

It's not.

and honda/acura just sits there and does nothing..

They have the NSX in the works though I am not sure if they have anything in a lower price range to compete with the FRS or even a slightly more expensive S2000 replacement in the near future.

To each their own and honestly I was never a massive supra fan. I just find this thing is absolutely painful to look at. :x

-rear wheel arch swoops up from the side skirt like a bad body kit

-gratuitous use of exposed carbon fiber reminds me of ricer brahs

-use of mesh billets in front and rear bumper remind me of those terrible fiberglass bodykits we all make fun of

-recessed rear badge looks like one of those crooked license plate holes they mold into bad minitrucks

-lack of creases makes the whole think look like melted candy

-front fender vent doesnt do anything functionally (this could change on the production run, but as is it just looke like overkill)

-beak nose is obviously TS020 inspired, which would work fine on a mid engine flat/wide car. not a supra-sized FMR.

-headlights look like they came off a 2005 tokyo auto salon tuner car

-dash and gauges by colecovision

-interior obviously wasn't finished in time for the show, so Ill reserve judgment there

-see through window in hood looks like it was borrowed from the Corvette Zr1

-greenhouse borrowed from a GTR

-trunklid/spoiler borrowed from a 02 7 series

I cant help but think if this car was designed by Kia and wasn't expected to carry the Supra moniker people wouldnt be so keen on its appearance.

Looks nice

But we all know it won't come out like this to the market

Side profile is amazing, def has the Supra look. Hate the F1 inspired front fascia, hope it doesn't make production. The rear is kinda messy. Overall its unique. I hope this is the new Supra, just a few tweak to the front and rear and this will be solid. I'm guessing a TT v6 will be suitable enough.

I really hope this goes into production. Seeing this on the road would be :wow:

the FT-1 looks AMAZING. love it from every single angle, the steering wheel, dash, interior all look pretty incredible.

I hope this goes into production in the near future...:smokin

Its a concept... dont expect anything concrete for at least a few months minimum

I knew the concept thing just wasnt sure if a release has been announced...Is it gonna release for sure though ...?Like I could afford it but sheesh.... fire.

No official release has been announced and the car is bound to go through some changes before we know anything for sure, but its a highly speculated the car will release.

As for the pricing... they're saying 60-70k which seems pretty reasonable considering a TT Mk4 Supra cost more than a Viper when it debuted.

I like the sound of that. I'm really hoping it happens, but ditto on the folks saying to change the front fascia. Not a big fan of that.
