You follow the word of Jesus, yet decide to ignore clear scripture? I'm not even religious and I know that...
Leviticus 20:13 : "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
It is impossible to be a follower of Jesus without being extremely anti gay.
By that logic it would have been impossible for those in favor of the abolishment of slavery to be Christian.
Leviticus 25:44-46
You may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance.
Ephesians 6:5-6
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
Leviticus 27:1-4
The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate a person to the Lord by giving the equivalent value, set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel; for a female, set her value at thirty shekels
hmmm... women worth 3/5s the value of a man ? That sounds awfully familiar to the U.S. Constitution’s provision that a slave was only worth 3/5 of a white man. "Lord" knows where they came up with those numbers.
