I am trying to change society. You're 200% right. That's my goal as a writer. To get people like you to realize there's more to life on this planet than harboring hate, and ignoring the importance of widespread unconditional love.

That word is why I'm in this thread and why I know in my spine, marrow and spirit, that homosexuality isn't deviant because it's two people living in unison, consensually in love.

Idk, maybe I follow those teachings of that guy named Jesus that may or may not have actually set foot on this planet entirely too closely.

I've made the conscious choice to forgive and love every one for it is not my place on this planet to judge and distribute darkness. One day, you will see the light and know there's more to be concerned about than a same-sex couple in love.

You follow the word of Jesus, yet decide to ignore clear scripture?  I'm not even religious and I know that...

Leviticus 20:13  : "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

It is impossible to be a follower of Jesus without being extremely anti gay.

Jesus didn't write the Bible. Humans did. What you're quoting is the result of centuries of corruption.

And if we're throwing out random Bible verses:

Ezekiel 23:19-20

And how do you know what Jesus believed?  He was a follower of the religion which believed that...and he felt highly enough of it to transfer it to his religions teachings, because that was a part of the old testament, not the new testament.  Jesus actually lived by that Leviticus statement.

He is only a follower in name then, because he doesn't follow all of Jesus' teachings.  The teachings which Jesus lived by himself ( he was Jewish ) directly stated Leviticus 20:13  : "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."  The old testament is also used in Christian studies....

And if that particular verse was a part of Jesus' life and teachings as you say, may you please show me evidence proving so? Give me a Bible verse from the Gospel of Luke or anything in the New Testament that quotes Jesus talking down on gays.

Jesus was born a Jew but he basically didn't die one. So yeah, Idk man you're just making **** up. Jesus spoke about love and tolerance and peace. He went into the synagogue and through a fit when he saw the tax payers making a mockery of his Father's house. He forgave ****** and murders, but he had issues with gays. Ok. You win. May I be struck down.

This is not the equivalent to homosexuality, because studies of the brains of homosexuals have proven that THEY are abnormal.  It isn't just an interpretation of society, there is something innately different, and abnormal about them, and it is proven through brain studies.

Why would it blow up in my face?  I'm not religious, he said he is.  I am just showing him why it is ridiculous to call yourself a follower of Jesus when you are directly going against what it says.

Actually it is "Thou shalt not MURDER."

CLEAR CUT: Leviticus 20:13  : "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

It commands you to do so, therefore it isn't murder.  In the eyes of religion, it is a justified kill. 
 
Ok so you posted a verse from an era before Jesus. Ok. So now post the verse that shows Jesus agrees with that teaching. Just because he was born a Jew doesn't mean the Son of God (whom Jews deny as their Messiah btw) died believing every single facet of Judaism was perfect and true before his arrival.
 
Why do some Christians "drink" the blood and "eat" the flesh of their god? Isn't that blasphemous?
Why isn't the word trinity in the original Old Testament?
Why are there over 100 different version of the bible?
If god is infinite why is he broken down into 3?

Option #1.

That is simple.  Either he was a Jew, and lived by that scripture, and people after him created Christianity, which includes the Old Testament....he'd still believe Leviticus 20:13  : "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."


Option #2.  

He created Christianity, and he himself opted in include the scripture Leviticus 20:13  : "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." in his teachings......he still believes it. 
 
So he has to agree and enforce and believe in every teaching that existed before his incarnation?

Do you agree with everything the government says? Do you agree with every law? Do you apply every law into your daily life and spread those ideologies onto others because they were written by men that came before you that must know more than you?

Like I said before, show me a verse that has similar words coming out of Jesus' mouth. If he really did believe and spread that teaching as you said he did, then it should be in one of the Gospels, right? He had to tell Matthew, Mark or Luke that he didn't like gays and they should be murdered, right? And they would record it since they believed and loved their Leader, right?
