Nike behind the scenes - How Nike does certain things?

Hey what's up guys?

Haven't been here in quite some time. Hope everyone has been well, safe, enjoyed family and friends over the holidays, etc.

Not sure if this post needs to be moved, so Mods, please feel free to move / delete as necessary.

As we all spend time in the sneaker game, we learn. I have been in the game for about 11 years now and have done business since inception, soaking up as much information as I can.

Few questions:
1. Are Nike sample sales still out there? I know they used to do them at a few regional offices about 8-10 years ago. I hear they moved these to Nike headquarters in Beaverton, but not sure. If they are still in Oregon, are they publicly announced? Employees only?

2. How do stores order shoes? I know awhile back, there was discussion about certain stores / certain regions had LS accounts, general accounts, etc. I don't remember the specific details as to which account meant what. The shoe game is definitely a bit different from 5 years ago, so maybe this has changed.

My question, in other words.. Do stores decide on what they get from Nike? Maybe not the exclusive stuff - Yeezys, Oregon Foams, etc. If they can decide on WHAT they get, can they decide on HOW MANY they get? Who places the orders for individual stores? Managers or corporate office or ?

3. What do Nike reps do? My interpretation is that they sample shoes to regional reps. I know this may have changed, since it seems that ANY and ALL Jordans sell now; before, some stuff sat for a bit. Does anyone know any reps? Would you be willing to PM me their information?

Potentially more questions to come. This is all I have for now.

Thanks in advance for the help, discussion and positivity!
