I know what you mean. I guess using does show that the user wants to put the disagreement behind them, but it feels like such a cop out whenever anyone uses it.

The WORST: "I have no regrets"/live life with no regrets
You're telling me you've never made a mistake before or said the words, "I wish I..."?
While minor, that counts as a regret. People feel like they're really just living life on the edge and want to sound cool by saying that.
Anyone who says that phrase is a liar.
It doesn't mean you never made a mistake, it means you dont regret the mistakes you've made because you learned from them.

Oh I know it means that and I actually agree with the part about learning from your mistakes.
