Governors Ball 2014

Not to jack the thread, just posting a clearer image. Last year was absurd with the mud, but it was a great time. Will be going again this year:

Not a fan of Vampire Weekend, at all...

Cole World, Damian Marley, Janelle Monae, Childish Gambino, Outkast, Phoenix... :x :pimp:

Man... If only i lived closer to NY. :wow:

What are my options if I want to buy a ticket for one of the days?

I'm only seeing 3 day passes on the website. Do I have to wait until people buy them and separately add them to stubhub or what?

Or should I just buy the $250 3 day pass and sell the two day I don't want? Do they allow u to do that?

my boy was just texting me about this so tickets go up at 3pm eastern?

Went last year and loved it, even with the mud. The line up is way better this year, hopefully I can make it again.

Will definitely be going the day they perform at least, lineup is too solid

Wish I lived in NYC so I could attend this thing.... lineup looks amazing.

All I have to say is whatever you do, do not miss Phoenix. Saw them a few months ago and it was by far one of the best performances I've ever seen live.

Just saw Outkast this weekend at BottleRock. I have no idea what the Coachella kids were talking about because they put it down.

Also, definitely invest in some rainboots. The mud at GovBall was no bueno.

Coachella was their very first performance. I didnt watch any of it, but I'm sure they were rusty.

And from friday on the nyc forecast is dry so hopefully no mud this year

Their Weekend 1 performance was not great from I heard. But like you said, first performance in forever and rust was a factor. I saw then on Weekend 2 and they killed it. Heard they did a lot of tweaks after weekend 1. They opened with B.o.B. then followed up with Gasoline Dreams. That set the energy for the entire set. Still nuts to me their first 2 songs were the tracks I wanted to hear most :pimp:

I'm gonna check out Run The Jewels Friday. Had no idea that was Killer Mike. Never heard much El-P though.

Looks like I'll have to decide on Phonix and Damien Marley since they're playing at the same time.

Gonna need you friday and saturday people to comment on security so I know how hard I need to hide my blunts on sunday. never been to gov ball or any event on randalls island for that matter. I assume things might be a bit heavier after ezoo last year

My brother's gone the last two years for free without volunteering so we're gonna figure a finesse move for this year and try to make it for Saturday.  I'll check back if/when we get in.

i have an extra sunday pass if anybody wants to buy it. i'll hook the nt discount up

Security was ferry chill I took the ferry from E 35th st and had my backpack checked a few times.

There was a slight pat down upon entering the gates at the island and another bag check. They'd be fine in your wasteband since they are females doing these quick pat downs. They don't go near there at all lol. In the park I don't think I saw anyone being hassled about smoking. They're more worried about the people passing out.

Outkast was legendary last night. Didn't miss a step, one of the best live acts I've ever seen. Gov Ball did a crazy job with their set too.
