I am in serious need of some help Niketalk I am working on a presentation for a class where I am discussing the connections between violence and the products of Nike's that we all so much love. What I am looking for exactly is a cover from back in the early 1990's (I believe it was sports illustrated or a similar magazine) that had a cover with Michael Jordan on it and was discussing the issue of violence over his shoes. I am referencing this because I want to show that this topic has been brought up to the company for years now and nothing (preventative) has been done about it.

Thanks in advnace

I suppose you could loosely tie Nike to the violence, but the reality here is that's it's the consumer and society's flaws and ideals that sets the path to violence. If it's in your morals to create violence over something that's glorified by society, something as simple as a pair of shoes, then your own values is what's flawed. Society as a whole needs to shape up, too many people are preaching that guns, etc. are cool and that being scum is what to strive for. Until THIS stops, there will always be people who listen.
