I should go and start a thread for everything that rustled jimmies in the DB thread...

Well you know what...I hope this remains open, really says a lot about the elitism of the stay in shape thread...and ya talk about the cult fashion of Crossft

Anyhow today's WOD :pimp:

YES KIPPING PULL-UPS, that is.

I'm going to post in both threads to rustle @BIGBOSS jimmies...

Any of your girls CF?

Mine does, no "My GF is fat how do I get her to workout?" in my future :smokin

Yesterdays WOD

Focused on Strength and a lift that has eluded me. Dropped weight to work on form, getting better but my mobility is not where I want it to be.

Warm Up
50 KB Swings Unbroken
3 minute jump rope

WOD
EMOM 15 minutes
2x Power Snatch

First 5 sets @95
Second 5 sets @115
Last 5 sets @ 135

For time:
100 Russian Swings gripping a 35lb plate (Grip strength)
100 Sit Ups
(Time 9:05)

Cool Down
3 minute jump rope

Sadly, they don't see the irony when they make that statement.

Yeah I got my wife involved...she has issues with coordination, but is getting better

Yup, all wods are pretty much timed...you either compete for best time or most reps/rounds within a given time period...

Anyways one of the women at my box, she's 43 I think....top shape bruhs...deadlifting 305lbs touch and go for 3 reps...she weighs like 120lbs

Are these WOD timed? So what you posted that's it?

EMOM- Every Minute on the Minute
AMRAP- As many reps/rounds as possible
For time - self explanatory

That's it for the day, I usually don't do a 5x5 strength routine on Wednesdays, it's somewhat my "off day". I do 5x5 strength days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday is the only day I truly don't do anything, although I might go for a run or hike before or after the Niners play.

So for example how long does that WOD take you? So the CF isn't that time consuming. So you do reg weight lifting then Wed CF?

It really depends on the WOD, sometimes WOD's are built to be 5 to 15 minutes in order to get the heart rate up. Other WOD's are built to be 30 minutes plus.

I do shorter WOD's called "Girls" when I do long strength routines. If it's a "Hero"/"Birthday"/"Holiday" WOD, I know I will not have the time or energy to do a decent strength routine. I plan my programming accordingly. A session is anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and that includes warm up/cool down and stretching. When I do two a days, the strength routine is no longer than 30 minutes. In and out, efficient, and I waste no ******g time. Time is valuable.

Longest WOD I have done was definitely the 12 days of Christmas. Took me an hour and 2 minutes to complete

1 Hand Stand Push UP
2 Burpees
3 Overhead Squats @95#
4 Thrusters @95#
5 Box Jumps
6 Toe 2 Bar
7 Push Ups
8 Push Press @135#
9 Pull Ups
10 Overhead Plate Lunge w/45# plate
11 Hang Squat Cleans @135#
12 Power Snatch @95#

Constant variation, unless you are doing "Girls", no WOD is the same.
