Air Jordan Future Featuring xi sole 2014

Just curious to know what makes this shoe so comfortable? I never found the 11s to be that great in terms of comfort, especially the air cushion. Now if you are referring to the upper part of the shoe, I can see how that could feel great...

Definitely the upper imo. A couple of hours in regular 11's and my pinky toes become numb. These feel much better in the forefoot and toebox.

My only gripe, I should have went TTS instead of .5 up... :smh:

Trying to find glows and breds for decent prices. Best I've found so far is $400 shipped for a pair off gloepws. Is that an ok price?
 
Got the Royals on release from NDC but ended up returning them when I saw the Black ones on the launch calendar. Grabbed the Black ones last week and they came in today. Love these, wore them around for a bit casually then in the evening went to shoot around in them. No balling, just shooting around for an hour. Great for that, very breathable, comfortable but gives you a stable surface lol.

I'm going to double up on the Black pair and wait for those Reds and I'll be good on this shoe. Stuck to my true Nike sizing and they fit perfect for me. No Roshe pinky toe bulge unless you go super snug there might be a possibility of that. The mesh woven is a lot more structural then the Roshe's OG Mesh so there's better shape to it. There's a little bit of space in the toe box but it narrows up towards the top. Not worth while to half size down and it'd feel too loose half sizing up. Stayed true to my XI and Nike sizing.

Agreed that price point if placed around 120 would be perfect. There's honestly no tech work at all and the comfort everyone is experiencing is from the upper which has no support of any kind and the sole lacks a full carbon fiber shank like normal XI's so it feels more flexible.

picked up the black pair, they do not fit like the 11s. I actually am not use to these. the front pods are like stiff and makes these feel weird at the forefoot. 

going to take awhile before i get use to these.

this colorway was the one I was going for since the beginning. Just got them in today. They are my first pair of futures and I absolutely love them. The gold jumpman, wax laces with the gold tips set this shoe off, imo.

Got them as my first pair also.  I tried to resist initially, but I really like the shoes.  They look great with black pants, jeans, shorts, pretty much everything.  I liked all the same details you do and I also love the lacing system.  Not sure if I will get any other colorways.
 
I'm looking forward to receiving my pair tomorrow.  Really wishing the midsole was blacked out though.  I'm so sick of all of the white mid-soled shoes I have...hard to keep looking good/clean.  Was going to paint it, then I recalled that when I painted my Jordan IV white cements (OGs back in '89) all black, and completely ruined them, I vowed never to paint another shoe again EVER....heh.

I don't know man, I think you're hard pressed to find a lot of releases from ANY company where there's no contrast between the upper, midsole and outsole. If you want to black them out why not spend $10 on some black Angelus and painter's tape, spend a half hour painting them and call it a day?
 
Fair point.  I actually previously researched doing that, and watch some videos.  My understanding is that it gets a little more complex.  The paint needs an added component to make it more mat finish than glossy, and it's runny, so requires a lot of precision.  Even careful taping may not prevent imperfections.  In addition, the finished product may still ship/crack, though less so with the XI misole than lets say an AM90 or Jordan IV.

It's not about the time or money, it's about being confident with the outcome.  If I could pay someone locally who could show me the outcome, I would happily do that.  Maybe I'll just wait for them to get dirty and deal with it then ;-).

I just personally prefer that black based shoes be all black, and I also think I can get away with all black in a business casual office environment.

saw these in person today and i am sold

they are so comfortable and the quality is much , much better than retros selling for 30-40 dollars more

going to scoop soon 
 
Have the futures been selling out on release day? Trying to get the gym red pair but want to use a birthday coupon from ftl and maybe try them on before I buy. Do they fit pretty similar to regular XI's?
