Interracial dating isn't really that big of a deal. I kind of question if the people talking about being treated differently are the same people constantly pulling the race card. I'm white and race is never on my mind. I've never dated a white woman let alone slept with one. My gf now is dark skinned hispanic, I really have never noticed being treated differently. When I dated this black chick I remember black people being extremely nice to me when I was with her but other then that nothing. Maybe nyc is more accepting? or maybe a lot of people are insecure and looking for someone to treat them different.

Why are people so bent on this idea that interracial relationships would lead to the death of racism?

Are there not people who choose to date other groups because on negative biases they hold against their own, as displayed time and again on here? You don't think they share their frustration and biases with their partner, further promoting those negative biases to not only their partner, but potential child?

Hell, it was reported a couple years ago that Halle Berry's husband was calling her ****** while they were together. She was in, and a result of an interracial relationship.

, just joking. But it's really not that complicated. You like someone, just do you, don't worry about anything else. 

A little different, not really racial, but more religious, which from my experience was so much worse. 

I used to date a muslim chick, and typically and I mean probably 99% of the time, muslim families are very traditional and religious. They'd only accept another muslim person to be with their son/daughter.

Me coming from a hindu family, the two religions cannot be more different. I was probably the worst possible candidate for their daughter because of that. They hated me

Only time I really noticed people staring/talking was in college when I was with this chocolate African chick.

My point is that relatively equal I'll take ls. But I will never choose a mediocre ls (or "foreign" chick) over a bad chocolate one
