According to Maiocco, Davis is trying to leverage his absence into a new deal with the team and is apparently willing to forego his $200,000 workout bonus in order to press the issue. Davis has two years left on the six-year, $42.705 million deal he signed with the team in 2010 and is due $9.05 million over that span.

My guess would be he probably wants 11-12 over the next 2 years instead of 9. Vance Mcdonald= Zreo Leverage he will be there come June 17th.

Jim Harbaugh expects a “breakout year” from Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick clearly has some holes in his game, but he’s already pretty good.

But 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh expects his quarterback to take another step this season, which would set him up for well more than $6 million.

“I really expect a real breakout year for Colin,” Harbaugh said, via Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com. “Athletically, he looks bionic. If you all remember the ‘Six Million Dollar Man,’ that’s what he looks like to me.

“He’s very gifted and he always has been. He has the look and feel of a guy who’s really going to break out – even more so than he already has. I’m really excited about everything about his game right now.”

Kaepernick has been efficient enough in the passing game to make his running skills (and those of Frank Gore) more valuable, but the 49ers have made a concerted effort to surround him with more targets this offseason.

With Michael Crabtree healthy again and Stevie Johnson added to the mix with Anquan Boldin, Vernon Davis and Brandon Lloyd and some young players, there’s a chance they might actually be able to diversify their offense this year.

“It’s something that coach has mentioned to me that you need to be able to do what we do within our system,” Kaepernick said. “And as long as my footwork is good and I’m delivering the ball quickly and precisely, he’s happy with what I’m doing.”

If he can improve as a passer, the decision to give him the massive contract he’s in line for will be easier to justify, even though $6 million might only buy them about five games’ worth.

Jim Harbaugh: Brandon Lloyd showing “surge off the line”

Brandon Lloyd’s return to NFL action looks to be off to a positive start.

After Wednesday’s OTAs, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said he had been “(seeing) really good things” from the 32-year-old receiver, who was out of football in 2013.

“Seeing surge off the line of scrimmage. He’s got the ability to burst at the top of his routes,” Harbaugh said, according to a transcript from the club. “Runs excellent routes. Acrobatic type of catches that he’s able to make. Really good hands.

“So far really good. No, it does not seem like a guy that’s had a layoff from football for a year.”

Harbaugh’s observation that Lloyd has retained his athleticism is not a bad sign for the 11th-year wide receiver, who is one of 11 players at his position on the 49ers’ roster. At best, Lloyd could factor as the fourth receiver behind Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree and Stevie Johnson.

Were Lloyd to earn a depth chart spot, it could knock another receiver out of the mix. Rookie Bruce Ellington, a fourth-round selection, probably stands a good shot at making the roster in Year One, with second-year pro Quinton Patton and fourth-year pro Jonathan Baldwin also in the mix. Also, 12th-year pro Kassim Osgood’s special teams value can’t be overlooked.

However, the 49ers don’t figure to keep eight receivers. And that’s one of the reasons Harbaugh’s remarks are notable. If Lloyd shows he can still run, he’ll help his chances of sticking on a roster, whether in San Francisco or elsewhere.

How do the jerseys fit? I need that Deion and rice 94 season :pimp:. My size is sold out on both smh.

I could never bring myself to get a Deion jersey. I dont really consider him a true Niner.

@davizzy , who is in your avy?

I don't either. A lot of my friends, and people who aren't my friends, are quick to point out we haven't won a SB since Deion's one and done year. Yet they don't realize the next year we were ranked #1 overall defense without him. I've always thought the most important guy that left was Ricky Watters...and I'm still trying to find his jersey!

True about Deion but I'm a huge fan of his so I'd rather get his 49ers jersey over falcons or cowboys.

googled: "Devin Brugman"

found: "Devin Brugman-instagram"

immediately felt guilty about my thoughts and what my girlfriend would think if she could read my mind.

GOT DAMN THAT CHEST GAAAAAAAMMEEE good mother of god

Yeah those things are niccccee. I been following her on Instagram and her posts consist of 90% bikini pics.

there's some frank gore affair story going around the internet. once the media gets word of it im sure they will turn it into a huge **** storm.

http://www.vladtv.com/blog/191208/n...ted-for-alleged-affair-with-two-women/298000/

damn it frank, enough with these skeezer jumpoffs. if he really moved her into the house, as reported, that's ******* crazy

my homegirl said she saw frank at motif in sj a handful of times in the past. said hes always extra nice with the women there, including giving girls his watches. im assuming this was years ago, before he was with roscoe parrishs sister

 The Niners just can't stay out of the news. Then again, we just going to take an "alleged" pimp's word as the basis of this scandal?
I don't give a **** what type of venom and slander they put on Frank with this scandal, I don't give a **** if he was having a menage with Roscoe's wife and sister, ain't NOTHING going to make me think less of the guy. He's been the toughest Niner since the dark days of last decade and he never complained. Straight up professional. Despite cap issues in the future, they need to retain him and hang it up in red and gold. :pimp:

Big ups to red for posting that video of Frank when he still had knees. :pimp: :pimp: Blown away by the cutbacks, speed and vision. My dude survived all these years in the league without that top-back speed and relied on IQ, vision and power.

Vernon just trying to make sure he has enough dough for future art shows. He knows they ain't cheap and he probably ain't making jack from the ones he been hosting thus far  Giving up that $200k bonus was mad stupid on his part though. Come on, man! /criscarter

Im not going to lie, the Vernon situation irks me. Dude is going to be the second highest paid player on the team next year. I do not think the team should give in to his contract demands.

Vernon is top 3 paid TE and his contract was front loaded. he already had his big payday so it does kind of irk me and being #3 paid TE in the league is appropriate IMO.

I aint mad at Vern tho. The way contracts are setup in the NFL is 100% BS.

Next man up?

In this case Vance laves a lot to be desired. :\

He has no leverage. He still have 2 years left on his contract, is the second highest player on the team, and the like red said, the 3rd highest paid TE. Let him miss voluntary workouts. If he's not there come TC, I'm willing to put up with Vance TBH no matter how much of a drop off in talent it is.
