Told y'all, Osgood and McCray are gonna be a good gunner tandem. I know McCray is unproven but he'll replace Spillman plus we get Safety depth. I never really trusted Spillman or Dahl back there when Reid went out. Dahl should be next to get the cut man.

Jim Harbaugh says he won’t keep a player guilty of domestic violence

When 49ers Ray McDonald was arrested for felony domestic violence this weekend, he became the first test case for the league’s new, tougher policy on the matter.

But he’ll also test his own coach’s long-held attitude toward players who put their hands on women.

During his regular appearance on KNBR this morning, Harbaugh made it clear he would not tolerate behavior such that McDonald has been accused of.

“I’ll be very clear,” Harbaugh said, via Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com. “You ask me how I feel about domestic violence. I can be very clear about that. If someone physically abuses a woman and/or physically or mentally abuses or hurts a child then there’s no understanding, there’s no tolerance for that.”

Asked if he would not allow a player convicted of such charges to remain on his team, he replied: “Yes, we would not. We can be very clear.”

McDonald is continuing to practice with the 49ers, and has maintained his innocence. The 49ers have said they’ll continue to investigate, and Harbaugh said he was also convinced he needed to let the legal process play out.

“There are going to be two principles at play here,” Harbaugh said “And one is, I’ll speak for myself, I’ll speak for the 49ers: We’ll not tolerate domestic violence. The second principle, we’re firm believers in due process. And I ask for your understanding on those two principles.”

Those are not mutually exclusive principles. But it does put Harbaugh in stark contrast to his brother John, who has wrapped his arms around running back Ray Rice, whose shamefully light punishment triggered the increased punishment McDonald could face.

49ers yielded Tank Carradine, Stevie Johnson, CARLOS HYDE, Chris Borland and Corey Lemonier from the Alex Smith trade.

49ers won and im happy for Alex. He's a good dude.

You support Ray Mcd beating a pregnant woman???

And you called her a ***?

I hope you learn to become a better human being

You're pathetic

If he's guilty, I want his *** of the team. No excuse for something like that.

I highly doubt anybody in here supports beating women.

And how do you know he beat a woman? It's all allegations at this point. Don't jump to conclusions until the case has been given it's due process.

Dont yall think its funny how his "girl" all of a sudden gets hit by him three days after this new domestic policy?

My girl was laughing when she saw this on the news.  She works at circuit court she sees this stuff all the time, a girl gets mad her man is allegedly messing with a girl, then she tries to get him in trouble with the law, then she the first one at his side when it hits the fan.  You dont even need to go to the courthouse to know and see this happen all of the time in society.

Come on now yall know these girls aint loyal why would a football player put his hands on a woman 3 days after his job made a stricter policy about it, and a week before the season starts?

These football players need to leave these thots alone, its the same story over and over again

Ray Mac shouldn't play on Sunday and it has nothing to do with ethical judgement of the allegations, but moreso the fact that his head likely won't be in the game.

Aldon looked lost vs the Colts days after he had his DUI incident.

His head being in the game shouldnt prevent him from earning a paycheck tho.

Every other day I come into work my head aint here lol....sheeeeetttt right now my head is on NT but Im still getting paid...

Aldon played the Colts game after the DUI and the whole team seemed out of it...Ray shouldn't play.

The team seems poised to allow due process for him in the meantime. Which is fair, don't ever want to fire an employee for false accusations. However, he shouldn't play until he's cleared of the charges.

He would still get paid; he would just be one of the innactive players.
