In 1988, the 49ers were starting the season off unexpectedly bad, and Ronnie lott called a players only meeting mid season and inspired them to keep their hopes alive for the playoffs.

Bill Walsh felt pressure that he was gonna lose his job, our star player Joe Montana got injured and Steve Young wasn't doing a great job filling in.

But they fought, they battled, they ended up making the playoffs and eventually winning the Super Bowl that year.

Someone needs to do something like that with this team.

We have so much potential. We can make history right now.

Odd and stupid quirk of the scheduling system.

I get how we draw the Saints the last 3 years since 2012 and this year was based off each team's previous season's finish respectively and last year was b/c we played the NFC south but confused as how to not at least 1 of those games gets scheduled to be at SF.

Not that we have much of a home-field advantage at Levi's anyway

yeah i get last season, because they played all the nfc south teams in 2010 and the saints and bucs came to san francisco that season so it was the 49ers turn to play those teams on the road last season.

2012, they both finished in first place the season prior so they played each other and they both finished in 2nd place last season so their playing eachother again.     like you said though, im confused how one of those games either 2012 or this season isn't scheduled in san francisco.

oh well,  they can get it turned around but it sure as hell isn't going to be easy.

it was mike florio that 1st "reported" it i believe...and we all know how much of a joke florio is.
no one in the NFL even mentioned anything about it.

9 games is 9 games.

Yeah but john Clayton even said he heard it was going to happen. That's the one that had me believing. Clayton usually reliable blown.

49ers released Demarcus Dobbs and signed CB Chance Casey to the practice squad.

Sounds like a job for Patrick and/or the Cowboy

Wilhoite hasn't really done anything to lose his job but I could see the coaching staff siding with the more talented guy.

I dont know if it will be here, but Jim Tomsula is going to be a bad *** head coach one day.

Last Sunday he was with O-line before the final drive and then he's in the Chris Borland featured video on 49ers.com pumping him up. The guy is a straight up leader of men and as long as he can hire good OC to work with he'll be a great head coach.

The only undefeated head coach in 49er history.

BTW Why do the Raider fans think they'll just land Harbaugh without compensating the 49ers? Do they really think Trent is going to just hand him over? LOL. Trent is notorious for getting over on teams and if Gruden yielded two 1st and two 2nd round picks, what will Trent ask for Harbaugh? Its going to be something comparable.

The teams not feeling being ran like a college team. Harbaugh bout to be out and on his way to Michigan.

Kaepernick you punk *** ************. stop wasting time getting those dumb ******* swirls in your head, take off those stupid *** head phones off and carry this ************* team.
What's wrong with you guys...

Kaep worked hard this off season

he works his *** off for this team.

I support the players, win lose or tie unless they're complete boneheads or something a la jamaracus russel

*edit*  My bad ady....didnt realize you posted this earlier.
fools criticizing were the same ones praising him in the preseason -_-

let's not  be hypocritical about stuff now..

I get it his play is not up to par, BUT, how can you not at least acknowledge he's working his *** off for this team.

some fans got no tolerance for these players as human beings... it's pathetic

Ive been hearing lots of panic from niner faithfull. Of course i would love them to win, but its not like we are getting destroyed out there when they lost (except for the denver). Like someone said we couldve been... but they are what they are. This team has all the capabilites of beating any team in the nfl.

The 49ers need to win in NO.

Ima ride and die with kap.

Worked his *** off doing what? Hang cleans and curls? I dont give a **** about what he did in the weight room. His deficiency is quarterbacking 101. Instead of being in Florida doing stupid **** like taking "#thirsttrapthursday" IG pictures and allegedly raping *******, he should've been working with a QB guru on his deficiencies: QB fundamentals/technique, analyzing/deciphering coverage and learning how to use his eyes to manipulate the coverage.

Regarding that final play of the Bears game, Kap said this:
Kaepernick said, “They had Cover 3, we got the look we wanted, we just have to make that play.”
EXCEPT THIS ISNT ******* COVER 3 YOU STUPID **** KAP

This is his third NFL season and he has shown insubstantial progression and growth as a NFL quarterback. He is sooooooooooo inconsistent it's ridiculous. Russell Wilson's development as a QB has surpassed Kap by a substantial amount. Ive been giving this guy the benefit of the doubt, but  were halfway through the season and dude looks like he spends more time at the barber drawing up stupid **** to put in his hair than in the film room. The reason QBs get paid the way they do is because the best QBs in the game carry their team when they need them the most and this dude Kap is missing wide open receivers on crucial third downs or throwing horribly placed balls on potential game-winning TDs.

I keep it 100 and try to be as objective as possible with all of our guys. I am calling it how I see it. Kap can do some amazing **** like jump throws and across the body throws, but he severely struggles executing the most basic, essential aspects of quarterbacking. Havent even mentioned his condescending, snide demeanor he socially exhibits.

If this team wins anything its because Trent Baalke added some solid, young players and Fangio is the best damn DC in the NFL.

Truer words haven't been spoken.

After he took that Metro PCS *** contract, I really believed he was gonna make that jump this year... Especially with essentially the 2 best players on the team out a substantial amount of time.

Instead, the defense is balling out, and Kap is still missing wide open receivers and locking in on primary targets. Pocket presence is pure *** too smh

on point with the kaep break down. he's just as inconsistent now as he was last year.
dude never convinced me as our qb. i don't think he has it in him to be an elite qb honestly, but i hope he proves me wrong.

Red I agree with you on a lot of your points especially the snide demeanor after a loss. But bro this last weeks game was very reminiscent of that Carolina game last year when we came out of the Bye.

Carolina kept bringing middle pressure up the A gap and kept whipping our interior similar to Rams last week. Right then I thought maybe Kap isn't the guy due to his inability to throw the ball away. We all saw it three weeks ago if he can go thru progressions he can throw strikes.

Believe me nobody in the continental US was more upset about that off the mark 3rd down tunnel screen that Hit crabs hands.

Kaep has been wildly inconsistent but to be fair the OLine has been a huge factor in contributing to that, so I'm not giving up on him yet. Not the same caliber of QB of course, but the past few weeks reminded me of early in the '94 season when Steve was getting pummeled regularly.

When he had time at St. Louis he was doing pretty well going through his reads, good ball placement (for the most part), and moving better in the pocket. I just hope the OLine gets it together fast..starting this Sunday because you know the Saints are smelling blood in the water. Of course Kaep needs to play better too.

For many years the soulution to get the offense going has been frank gore. Going foward he is still the solution, so my theory is give Frank Gore the dam ball early and often.
