Hahaha. dude has some funky mechanics.

the way he holds and throws the ball is very similar to the way aaron rodgers did coming out of cal, which had to be changed at the pro level.

i think he can beat out gabbert.

I wasnt aware that Smelter was drafted so low because he was coming off an injury. Baalke being Baalke

Yup, torn ACL.

Baalke said he could see the field this year. We need him to soak up everything he can from Q.

A few head scratching decisions on day 2 and 3. Some things I just dont understand. With that said if the mid to late rd guys continue to develop from the last few drafts we should be fine...but you waste a pick on a punter. And wait that late to get a guard and no ilb...:smh:

Yes IDK WTF Baalke was thinking. I was looking for a CB and ILB to be drafted in the first 3 rounds. Most of the players they took seem like projects that won't play much this season. And best player available in round 5 was a punter? Wtf!

Just wondering, we've all given credit to baalke for drafts in the past 3 or 4 seasons, but does anyone know how much influence harbaugh had in those drafts? One thing that's obvious is that baalke rarely ever goes with the "sexy," big name picks and instead, opts to go for obscure players or game cocks

Hasn't the story always been Baalke had complete control of the draft except for the Kap pick?

We'll likely never know how much say harbaugh had, but some players definitely have harbaugh's fingerprints all over them like Aaron lynch(harbaugh knew his coach), dontae Johnson(harbaugh tried to recruit him), Eric reid(harbaugh tried to recruit him), etc.

However, baalke's best drafted player, bowman, was drafted before harbaugh was here.

When you have two pro bowls safeties in front of you like @E_Reid35 and @ABethea41 you shouldn't expect to start you should expect to learn

on that subject, i've been saying it for the longest: eric reid is one concussion away from having to seriously consider retirement. i am surprised more people aren't talking about this.

Exactly, one ot the main reasons I like the pick. Odds are he'll see the field sooner rather than later.

And the fact that he acknowledges the hes coming in ready to learn is a great sign
