I wanted to say this when they released him... But I think they cut him to fast without the full story coming out

Now instead of giving him an extension mid season like they probably planned... Now we have to straight out go against other teams offers

Is there any rule on cutting a guy then resigning him? Like in the MLB where there are waiver periods is there anything like the in the NFL? Say the niners get the full story, realize that it was not as big as they originally thought would they be free to just sign him again?

i was watching the Joe Rogan podcast recently and it was a fighter companion podcast. Anyways Brendan Schaub was there and hes a real close friend of Aldon Smith's Manager. Schaub stated that he's gonna be fine, there's some good news. Schaub didn't wanna spill it. I have a feeling Aldon will be back in the Niners uniform.
