Sheesh @ Ellingtons speed on that PR that got called back, penalties didnt affect the return and dude went untouched ~85 yards :x

kaep looked good out there and at times reminded me of ol manning.

hyde had everybody at every bar trying that move on everyone haha

last year, I think we all complained that kaep had severe happy feet when under pressure or the pocket collapsed. he would run backwards to avoid the inevitable sack, losing even more yardage. last night, when the pocket broke down he finally stepped up to buy more time and also froze defenders with the threat of running. granted our oline severely outplayed the Vikings dline and he didn't face too much pressure, this is a positive thing to see from kaep. cat finally looked poised

Yes, huge complaint that he never stepped up in the pocket and would just run, great to see him step up, keep his head up and look for the receiver or then run.

the commentators kept praising kaep for going thru multiple reads every pass. having good blocking that buys time in the pocket facilitates that. gonna be interesting to see if he can maintain that poise against NFCW dlines

his performance from last nite was shades of that GB @ SF opener two seasons ago. overall stats didn't wow you, but he was efficient, smart with throws, and ran the ball effectively.

but damn it **** YES geep chryst getting kaep on that play action bootleg/rollout. he was eatin off that **** with like short 8-10 yard passes. about damn time...**** greg roman

Yup that's it, said it before in here somewhere

Definitely a good spot, they got tvs everywhere in there... I'm not a bar person since I don't drink but wouldn't mind going back

this game is from week 6 last year

the play was incomplete but you can actually see how hes front foot was planted TOWARDS his target

heres from the same game. this one was a complete pass BOMB to LLOYD, notice his front foot was towards his target

see his foot here almost parallel with his back foot? the pass sailed to boldin.

last night game. see his footwork? same as the giants game. parallel with his backfoot, heck you can even see his shoulder opening up in the middle of the field and the target is outside and of course the throw is low

now during this drop back, DILFER praised him on his location of the ball, even though its incomplete. loaded backfoot, front foot planted and pointing to the target, and see how his front foot just complete the whole passing motion?

i know its week 1 and there's a whole season to improve.

like i said im glad hes going thru his progression and working the pocket. the biggest criticism he had last year was his mechanics and accuracy and its still there.

i see what your getting at, but that's not the root of the problem. pointing your toe at your target just allows you to to line up your front shoulder and unlock your hips. the problem is where his weight distribution is after he releases. if his upper body is flying past his lead foot after he throws, he's going to overstride. if he's too far back on his backfoot, he's going to underthrow. this is such a major simplification and there's much more to this.

all i kno is i hope berman cleaned up dilfers mess everytime he got excited [emoji]128166[/emoji][emoji]128166[/emoji]

Very excited for the win to start the season. Hope to see this team develop even more moving foward. With that said Pit is going to be a good test for the secondary, but im confident with our team overall.

How you guys feeling about Pitt

Their defense ain't nothing to worry about but if Kap don't make those intermediate to long passes then they will just stack the box

On offense, if we can somewhat contain AB then we should be good... Ben isn't gonna run on us and the way our D played this week, Williamsv won't be doing any damage

I like our chances but of course media and other fans will say we don't stand a chance

Let the running game beat you. Big Ben gonna eat so just try to minimize his production. Cant have him take his sweet time back in the pocket and he extends A LOT OF PLAYS. Take advantage of the new center that they have, so i expect a heavy dosed of inside blitz. in which the patriots were doing A LOT. Double up Brown up top. Im not sure whos gonna match up with Miller but that guy is a beast.

Hopefully we can expose their defense. Win and we have something special. This is like the game against the Eagles in '12

one thing that really pisses me off is the scheduling. We're on a short week and we have to fly to the east coast? Imagine how Los must feel today. Dude is probably confined to his bed and the ice tub.

The staff basically has 2 days to implement game plans because on Friday they'll be on a plane.

With that said, I feel good about this game. I fully expect our young DBs to rise up. Tartt will make his presence felt in this game. Book it.

I believe I read somewhere that Hyde was one of the last to leave Levi's last night and that him and other players were in the traning facility today even though they had the day off.

probably getting treatment. with how damn physical los is and the amount of carries he had, dude had to feel like this guy this morning
