there was just lack of preparation and communication at the position groups where they're most needed. the offensive line and the secondary looked totally distorted.

antonio brown is unreal. dude is so damn fast in and out of breaks. his suddenness is uncoverable.

kap remained pretty damn composed for a guy who was getting assaulted by a barrage of pass rushers.

Niners secondary :x ....

i wont jump to any extremes over one game. we know we have a young secondary and we knew there would be growing pains, but pittsburgh does this to everyone. they're loaded on offense and big ben is still one of the best.

niners coaching staff had 2 days to prepare. ****** scheduling, but it is what it is. onto AZ.

I think we all knew our secondary n oline were the biggest issues on our team I really hope the pick it up against AZ they ain't no slouch either gotta be on our toes Pitt GM exposed us BAD!

i dont even remember if the niners ran any zone blockin scheme on any runs?

not sure how i feel about happy feet mike davis.

arizona defense is no damb joke

they did, but pittsburgh was pushing the line back. there was no directional flow to the play and no cutbacks for los. line played like **** across the board.

#23 mike mitchell is a *****. we almost lost los for the year. dude is still mad Q ate his *** up in the playoffs when he was on the panthers.

Few observations of mine throughout the game

- We got away with it last week when Vikings would stack the box, but you can tell Steelers weren't gonna let the same happen... They shut down the run

- Reid & Bethea looked like burnt toast out there... Wilhoite was on point following Wheaton and Bethea was no where near

- Oline didn't let Kap do anything

- Big Ben had all day... We had 5 sacks last week, today we had 0... No type of pass rush

- What was the point of signing Torrey Smith?

- I do nothing but laugh when VD is targeted... You just don't know what to expect... I don't think I've seen a drop off like him in some time

- Hopefully the coaching staff takes some notes and will let Kap throw the ball... Dude has made improvements and it shows... Don't get why they don't let him rock

- Next week, we playing a tougher defense and an offense that put up 40+ points today... If no adjustments are made, its a wrap

kap looks good. it looks like the game has slowed down for him. unfortunately, the line was atrocious.

sick of vernon. dude is half-assing it out there.

the hit hyde took on his leg man :x

Kaep was super composed in the second half when he was finally throwing the ball. Take the positives and move on to AZ. I bet we beat AZ next week

yea i dont mind seeing VD gone after this season. Have his money spent somewhere else. I want a Brent Jones type TE on our team and it looks like Celek or Bell might fit that bill.

Btw Bruce Miller has basically been phased out of the offense. Im guessing he was only in on that 4th down drop because Vance got hurt

A Raider who lives in a Niner household.
Crabs wanted out and he got his out.
It's still a rebuild for both teams. Today was pretty obvious.
I respect it

Im a Niner fan who loved Jamarcus Russell

I blame me being a kid at the time

Tough loss, but the 49ers will be back. Better to learn from mistakes early than late. There were a lot of positives from this game. Hope they continue to improve. Lets get it next week.

all things considered, kaep balled out. forced into a situation where the only option was to throw, I aint mad at how he played and the throws he made. score should have been far more respectable than what it was.

no sort of pressure from the dline left our secondary out to dry. I'm not gonna read too much into this game. with a full week to prepare for our division rival next week, that'll be a better barometer for what this team really is

Yea I honestly don't see how anyone can say Kap played bad

I was impressed... Just unleash him and let him throw the ball... Only way it'll open up other options

kaep needs to stop throwing the fade lol and let the ball go right away, he's wasting too much time. He did well fantasy wise

but still same ol kaep when it comes to the red zone. he finally opened up in the end w/ smith but they could've been doing that if he let the ball out faster. Them corners were looking too overwhelmed with ben and brown

. It was becoming trend throughout the game. Overall just a tough game, rather have the L now than later.

i rewatched the game and some things of note:

-marcus martin was really bad. he's pretty much a rookie, so ill cut him some slack; however, those mental lapses will kill us if they continue. he really needs to make strides asap because he's throwing the whole line off. dude was repeatedly snapping it on the wrong counts and calling the wrong pass protections.

-although his snaps were limited, arik armstead looked pretty damn good. hard to miss him when he's on the field. his strength is ridiculous.

-kap, kap, kap. very proud of this guy. definitely making the strides we need him to make. he looks very, very poised under durress, eyes are married to his feet and kept his eyes downfield. he continues to demonstrate that he can, contrary to popular belief, go through his progressions. i dont know if it was harbaugh or not, but kap is finally using his check down.

that fade to torrey for the 2pt conversion.... BEAUTIFUL!!

i dont want to jump to conclusions, but i've seen this progression as a QB before..#8... the greatest gift harbaugh ever gave us could be the QB kap becomes. i believe the best position coach on the staff is our QB coach steve logan. i think he will be huge for kap's development.

-secondary looked tired and out of sync. reid and bethea accounted for many blown assignments. this will happen when you try to disguise your secondary looks as much as we do. it can leave you running back to your assignment and vulnerable to bad angles/positioning. a lot of blame needs to be directed towards the lack of pass rush. pittsburgh was max protecting all day. they game planned for lynch and had a RB or TE help block him the entire game. nobody else was getting any heat on the qb.

- i said it all offseason: i worry about the way los runs. he's too damn reckless and absorbs too much punishment. he needs to implement some of that Franky G to his game, or else he will be on the IR very soon.

onto AZ. This is for first place, so I expect our squad to be ready.
