i don't think he'll slip much if at all. sounds it's more of a concern in regards to how his career will be in the NFL.

the more i think about it, the more trading up to secure buckner sounds like a good idea. it won't cost us much and will ensure we nab a player that is likely to be a game changer.

that, or we trade down. its going to be slim pickings at 7.

players slipping bumps everyone up the board. this means a guy shaq lawson might become a more reasonable pick at 7.

Market for 49ers tickets and PSLs is “plummeting”

The 49ers once again are proving that winning draws fans to the games, and that losing drives them away.

According to C.W. Nevius of the San Francisco Chronicle (via SportsBusiness Daily), the market for tickets and Personal Seat Licenses has been “plummeting.”

Currently, a total of 1,825 PSLs (consisting of 4,601 seats) are available, with dozens priced below market value. When the new stadium opened, tickets were completely sold out and a waiting list existed for PSLs and season tickets.

Per the report, some fans that financed their PSL purchases over 10 years are thinking about “stopping payments and walking away.” While the 49ers would have the right to enforce the PSL payments, Nevius raises a great question: What would the 49ers do if a large number of PSL holders simultaneously walk away? Sue all of them?

Regardless, things are looking suddenly ordinary for an organization that, not long ago, was moving back toward elite status.

Sue? Not likely, but they can send PSL owners to collections. That's a lose lose for everyone involved.

I dont think the Niners losing has anything to do with fans not wanting to keep their PSLs.  It is the WAY we went about going from an elite team to one of the worst teams in football, for what many consider to be no real reason at all.  The front office is making this team lose fans, not the fact that we are losing.

Yeah I agree.

I can deal with losing.

I cant deal with losing because of incompetence.

Don't do this to me fam. Please don't get my hopes up with Goff, I'm already conditioning myself for not getting him.

The rams trade pretty much made me beleive we arent getting a qb in the first. If one of them somehow drops to us id be shocked.

Im really indifferent to who I want the niners to draft. I guess I have to see who is available when we pick.

Browns shopping No. 2 pick, uncertain whether they will trade

ESPN.com news services
The Cleveland Browns have been engaged in trade talks involving the No. 2 overall selection in the NFL draft but are uncertain whether they will ultimately trade away the coveted pick, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

"There is interest in the pick," the source told Schefter.

Although the Browns have been linked to each of the top two quarterbacks in this year's draft -- Jared Goff and Carson Wentz -- Cleveland's new-look, analytics-driven front office is seriously considering trading out of the No. 2 slot for multiple picks.

For Browns, choice at No. 2 is clear: Draft the quarterback
The choice facing the Browns with the second overall pick really is no choice. The Browns have options, yes, but they should take the quarterback. Don't overthink it. Don't try to be smarter than everyone else, Pat McManamon writes.
Sashi Brown, Cleveland's new director of football operations, acknowledged last week that "there's been some interest" from other teams in the No. 2 pick, although he noted that those inquiries were preliminary.

The Titans traded the No. 1 overall pick to the Rams on Thursday, acquiring Los Angeles' first-round pick, two second-round picks and a third-round pick this season along with an additional first-round pick in 2017.

Multiple teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles, have been identified as potential trade partners with the Browns, who have been hosted both Goff and Wentz for visits despite the offseason signing of Robert Griffin III.

Brown said last week that Cleveland will take the player "who will give us the best chance to win over the long term." He also said that he is confident Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam will give the new regime the chance to prove itself.

"I absolutely think that Jimmy and Dee understand the importance of continuity," Brown said. "There is a commitment from the top down to build something that is sustainable."

The Haslams have fired three coaches, three general managers and one CEO in four years and hired three coaches and three GMs. None had more than two years in the job.

ESPN Browns reporter Pat McManamon contributed to this report.
Round 1: Pick 15th overall: Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State - 6'6", 308 LBS, 35" arm length
View media item 1997281

Powerful and quick off the ball. Conklin has the size, length and strength to thrive in Chip's downhill inside-zone scheme. Capable in pass protection, but where he excels is in the running game. Loves to get downhill and pancake a defender. Not the greatest athlete, but he makes up for his shortcomings with tenacity and unwavering fight in him. Says he tailors his game after Joe Staley; now has the opportunity to learn from him directly. Well-coached, physical and a natural fiery competitor. Conklin brings his lunch pail to work every game. Does not back down from challenge. Went toe-to-toe with Oregon's Deforest Buckner and gave him everything he could handle. With Joe Staley only getting older, Anthony Davis being unreliable, and only Trent Brown showing promise, the depth at tackle is shaky, so Trent takes one of the best tackles in the draft with the mental makeup and physical, tangible attributes that Chip Kelly covets at the right corner.
I gotta say Ive seen some tape on Conklin and I am impressed. The only thing I hated though was against Oregon, Cook would get the ball out so quickly that I really couldnt get much of a feel on Conklin vs Buckner in terms of the pass rush.
