random but relevant to all 49er fans: I live in AZ and was out at the club a few weeks ago and I spot Kyle Williams. No one recognizes who he is so I go up to him and say Hey, you Kyle Williams? He looked 5'6 in person so I wanted to confirm. He goes yeah what up man and daps. The convo goes something like this

me: so you got a ring man, did you play at all this year?

kyle : hah, nah man i didn't get the ring yet but I been rehabbing all year

me: are you even in the league anymore?

kyle: hah nah not right now i'm waiting to see if I get picked up

me: man im a 49ers fan, so you know what it is

kyle: oh that's wassup that's wassup

me: yeah, yeah..... look, i mean, you were getting death threats!

kyle: (nervously responds) hah yea,yea yea look, this what i'm gonna tell you, at the end of the day I don't care what anybody say as long as my teammates back me. And they was all good wit me. The other people talkin wasn't out on the field so i ain't worried about all that

me: but our window is closed now, you know that right. We had the defense and everything that year

kyle: you know the reason why? everybody say it was Harbaugh who pushed everybody out but nah the people inside know the real problem is Trent. He pushed everybody out and caused all the retirements. That's what it really was, Trent is killing the team. They wasn't getting along with his ways anymore.

then he buys me and my boys a round and daps and we split. interesting perspective, I don't know. this dude still makes my soul burn slow so I had to take a few jabs at him lol
pix ?

man, los needs to sit down with frank and master the art of avoiding unnecessary damage. dude has every tool a RB needs to be elite. the foot quickness and balance he has for a guy that's 6 ft and 225 lbs is uncommon for big backs. he's a big back with little back feet. he really just needs to stop looking to punish a defender on every god damn carry.

that collision with jon beason makes me cringe. a perfect example of something he could have avoided

hopefully chip's emphasis on sports sciences and RB by committee helps keep los healthy.

Everyone cool with gabbert moving forward?
How come Kap is not reporting to practice

Kap is there and has been in attendance for all off-season activities. He's still rehabbing, so his physical participation is limited.

bruce is a 6'1 tight end with 30 inch t-rex arms and 4.85 speed. he wont make the roster.

sucks but its the new-age football. fullbacks are going the ways of the dinosaurs.
That's a bummer. But as a TE, I don't think he could make the team.

Anyone else feel mad about p willy not playing football anymore? He left when the team needed a leader the most and he is still young

I was shocked and a little angry when he first announced it. But after more thought I was grateful that he played 8 seasons with us.

Dude had a rough childhood and for that reason alone he will always embody perseverance and resilience to me. Feel lucky to have been around to watch him play the game.

I was shocked but not angry he retired. One of my favorite niners ever, he never complained he just got **** done. You can't play the game forever and turd toe forced Deion sanders to retire so you know that injury is pretty serious.

Pretty much this. Was shocked and more disappointed than angry. Felt like his career was incomplete but understood his reasons.

Just came at a bad time with Harbaugh leaving and everything hitting the fan for us.

If he had retired after we won a SB, the pain from a fan standpoint would have minimized.

Had a glut of emotions about Willis.

Obviously shocked. He was still relatively young and with all the other stuff going on that offseason it was just a shot to the heart. Never really imagined him not being on the team after he came aboard. Im young so i only remember a couple of seasons without him.

Also disappointed. We were so close and never got him that SB ring. Couldve made his HOF case a lot better even with his short career. Just felt like he deserved it.

In time though, ive accepted it and im happy for him. Hes living his life how he wants to and he knows whats important

Is it Plenty of Fish
ehh happy for him but dont really care what he does he should still be playing for the 49ers.... dont care about his past present and future there are guys out here in the world that would give up everything they have for the opportunity he left on the table...

Dont even get me started with borland.......

Some notes from camp:

-Tank noticeably more slim
-Rogers making a good first impression
-Ward seeing 1st team at CB
-Miller getting comfortable at TE
-Cajuste walked off with a leg injury

Pwilly can do as he pleases. That man left it all on the field from the first day he stepped onto the field.

looks like bow is back to 100%. check out that movement at :44. he definitely wasn't moving like that last season. planting and driving off that injured leg with confidence and explosiveness.
