Matt Maiccoco just put up a video on IG of Kap throwing the ball

Looks like his throwing motion is back to when Warner was helping him

you're right. his motion does look shortened and tigher. hopefully he can keep it this time.

I wanted to believe that he could take the next step last year. And to some degree it's not his fault, the line was pretty shaky. But even when the pocket was clean he completely disregarded all the mechanical changes he underwent last offseason. Still, if he can't make the reads his mechanics don't mean squat.

I thought kaps first few games were not that bad.

And then came the az game and everything just went downhill from there

Not so sure a QB should be wearing a black tinted visor, but it does look dope  :pimp:
Silver: Blaine Gabbert heavy favorite for 49ers' QB job
Colin Kaepernick  made his 2016 on-field debut Tuesday, taking part in individual drills as he works his way back from three different offseason surgeries.

The veteran passer has a long way to go in what could be the most important season of his career, and NFL Media columnist Michael Silver came away from a trip to Niners camp with the belief that Kaepernick has an uphill climb simply to take meaningful snaps in 2016.

Silver told Dan Hellie on Tuesday's edition of NFL Network's NFL Total Access  that Kaepernick is "allegedly in competition" for the starting job while labeling Blaine Gabbert  as the "heavy favorite" for the No. 1 role.

"He's loved in this locker room," Silver said of Gabbert. "He did a lot of good things last year and I'd be shocked if he's not the starter in the opener."

Silver compared Gabbert to Alex Smith, saying the former first-round pick could be the type of player who "resurrects himself" later in his career. We have our doubts Gabbert will ever be a functional starter -- we can't shake all that grisly tape from his lost Jacksonville years -- but he did show growth in his first year with the Niners and now has coach Chip Kelly by his side.

It makes Gabbert a compelling underdog story and could put Kaepernick on the fringes of the same team that once identified him as its unquestioned future.

I still got love to Kap but damn it, I WANT TO WIN

No lie though, the current success of the warriors does a great deal to soften the blow of how miserable this franchise is right now

Hopefully this year is 2011 again, plenty of talent for Chip to utilize

NFCW is a tough division with how the Cards/Seawhawks been... Rams aren't far behind either

It'll be interesting to see how Goff does his first year. If he settles in quickly they'll contend for the NFCW title

They still have Jeff Fisher as their head coach. Until he's gone, I expect them to continue to underachieve.

Pete Carroll and Bruce Arians are two of the best in the game. It's going to be extremely tough to beat those two teams.

AZ sure is tough but I'm I the only one that feels like Seattle is on a decline?

I'm rooting for Kap... I feel with him at his best it gives the team a better chance at success vs Gabbert at his best. From now until Training camp he should be able to add most of the muscle mass that he lost.

I agree with the Seattle statement. They were at their best when they had their defense before everyone got paid and when they still had a healthy Lynch. But since losing some of their key guys on defense and their getting old I feel like they have declined and will continue to decline.

Or maybe it's just cause I truly hate the seahawks.

As far as kap... I don't think we are better of with him at his best... We've seen his best and the league has adopted to him and figured him out... Unless his brain grew and he got smarter I think we've seen the most out of kap.

I'm all about sunshine at this point until we get a new qb

I can't see them declining much. Their line sucks and they lost beast mode, but Russell Wilson is getting exponentially better. He put up huge numbers last season that we haven't seen around here since Garcia and TO.

Pete Carroll is just a defensive wizard. Those guys are coached up so well. His defense is really simple, but they've refined, sharpened and honed it like a samurai blade. They do an amazing job of coaching up their DBs and LBs, and making sure everyone on every level completely understands their role. It's disciplined, assignment football at the highest level. Not to mention all of the cornerstone players on D(michael bennett, bobby wagner, richard sherman, earl thomas and kam chancellor) are still there. I don't expect much of a drop off.

i could see AZ slipping. palmer is one year older, honey badger is coming off injury, and their draft did not impress me. robert nkemdiche is a ticking time bomb. IMO chandler jones is not a game changer, and they rely way too much on manufacturing pressure with all of the blitzes they use. also, i think teams are going to start running directly at deone bucannon. carolina ran right in his direction in the NFCC. Never been a fan of the idea of having a 215 lbs ILB. I hope Chip runs right at him when we face them. Good luck shedding Joshua Garnett when he gets to the second level and gets his paws on you.
