Good luck Bow and get well soon. Rough 3 years. He finally had that knee injury behind him, now this..

this vikings defense is nasty as ****. reminds me of us in 2011. young terrorizers in the front 7, and coached up very well across the board.

nobody has drafted better in recent years than the vikings.

I've never seen the benefit of tanking for draft picks. The talent disparity in rounds 1-3 are not that significant to justify it.

Let 'em ball out and let the "chips" fall where they may.

I personally think tanking is moronic unless the talent is that incredible

There is a huge disparity between Carson Wentz and Paxton Lynch and both are first rounders.

And Dak would be a first rounder if there was a re-draft. The whole Wentz to Lynch comparison is more of a lack in talent evaluation and scouting than anything.

I'm basically saying there is skill all over collegiate football. No need to play down for a top pick that may or may not pan out.

the vikings defense is so beautiful to watch. they've been building that defense since 2010, and it's finally paying off. they're my favorites to win it all. barr and kendricks might be the next bow and willis. it's so enjoyable to watch a physical defense beat the **** out of offenses.

one of the reasons i am a baalke fan. he shares that vision: big, physical and tough players. you want to punch people right in the mouth on defense, and run the ball right down their throat on offense. makes ZERO sense why he hired chip. we're going in the opposite direction now. you practice against the spread everyday in practice, you become soft. our team is becoming soft and gooey like chip. smfh.

Apparently tim ryan left his mic on during the game and said, "mike Purcell is garbage, get him out of there".

He ain't lying. Purcell is the worst nose tackle we've had since this team switched to a 3-4, and I believe a lot of it has to do with the way jim O'Neil schemes his fronts. this is not a 3-4. this is some hybrid ******** that they created in cleveland.

Do you think he wanted Chip or was that all Jed York's decision to try and save face after his choice of promoting Tomsula?

Not sure why Jim O'Neal keeps running these schemes on defense. Doesn't the team have the personnel to run a 3-4?

Just a guess, but I would lean towards gamble convincing Baalke to hire chip.

As for our defense, jim o'neil is essentially using our 3-4 personnel to play a one-gap type front. It's not even a 4-3, it's some hybrid ******** pettine and O'Neil must have came up with in Cleveland.

some good news for a change: defo is day-to-day, and not ruled out for thursday yet.

Sacks allowed / pass attempt (@NFL teams in 2016): 1. @RAIDERS - 1.31% 2. 49ers - 2.52% 3. Jets - 3.89% 4. Eagles - 3.92% 5. Giants - 3.95%
second in the league only to our neighbors across the bay.

our offensive line was addressed and fixed in one off-season without spending staggering amounts of money. someone gets credit for that, right?

^I guess Baalke gets credit for that? Getting Beadles for nothing and finding a gem with Trent Brown..add the fact Garnet is waiting on the sidelines?

What did you think of the sack on Gabbert? Was that miscommunication on our part or did Brown just get beat? lol

more of a mental lapse on both brown and tiller. brown bumped the rusher inside thinking he could pass him off to tiller, but tiller was occupied passing off his guy to kilgore. easy fix in the film room.

nobody has beat trent brown one-on-one this entire season going back to the preseason. that's including von miller.

doesn't get much better than this

i think the best thing to do moving forward is to open the checkbook and spend as much as you need to hire a legit defensive coordinator. we need a big time DC leading these young players. i'd feel a lot better moving forward with chip if we had a good DC. with the right guy at the helm, i think they could invest heavy in some linebackers this off-season. ruebens foster from 'bama would sure look good next to bowman. someone is going to get fired and is going to be looking for a DC gig ie a gus bradley type.

re-watching the game...

chip used a lot of packages where both draughn and los were on the field together. first time all season he uses this package. makes me wonder if this was a package he had in mind for bruce miller?

the barrage of inside zones in the running game are frustrating, but chip's passing play designs are top notch. there's an open guy on almost every play.

los' td was a dart run, a play seldom used this season to this point. chip actually dialed up this play twice on this drive in the redzone.

watching the o-line on that Los TD is a thing of beauty. trent manhandling and then discarding his opponent and then Staley with a gorgeous block on that pull. if he doesn't pull, Los is stopped in the back field.

dammmmnn i wish we had a QB :frown:

gabbert made some tremendous throws, and some terrible throws. he's the worst type of player: does just enough to keep his job, but continuously disappoints when it matters most.

the corner throw to celek might be the best throw of his career. that was a nice throw.

that corner throw was a straight missile into Celek's basket. i was surprised as hell he still caught the pass.

lol nice HC.

we'll see how dumb this fool jim o'neil is on thursday. gerald hodges was the worst player on the field against seattle, and he found himself on the bench without a helmet last sunday. progress, but will jim o'neil do the same with mike purcell? bench his fat samoan ***, and let glenn dorsey play the nose.

with lynchmobb returning, eli harold should also find his *** on the bench as well.

finally, with defo likely out for the game, RONALD BLAIR should be playing more snaps. let's see what this kid can do. he's easily our most explosive defensive lineman. dude explodes out of his stance and plays with a very low pad level. if tony jerod-eddie sees the field over blair, i am going to lose my ****. AA obviously ain't right, so he should only play on obvious passing downs.
