Sucks to be having a 4th head coach in as many years, but Charles Edward Kelly gotta go. The dude is too stubborn for his own good. Hopefully this time around, the hires are upgrades, instead of lateral moves... or downgrades.

I'm hearing Vance Joseph could be one of the main guys.


Big fan of Joseph. I wanted him to be our DC last season. The problem I have with the hire is that we're back to potentially having an OC carousel and that's not good for whatever young QB we get. It seems like the best coaches in the NFL right now are defensive guys, so there's ways to make it work.

Glad chip is going. Dont think the team would have ever been a real winner and super bowl contender with him as coach. Its as simple as that. No real reason to keep him around and beat around the bush.

Sucks to see Baalke go because i really liked him and how he worked the draft. I guesa paraag is a big part too but the team is never in cap trouble even when we were stacked.

Sucks Jed and Paraag are staying but if they can make the right hire thats all that matters.

With that being said im very excited for the future and to see the new direction of the team

whoever they hire, i just want the #1 priority to be that everyone is philosophically aligned from the GM to the head coach. they have to see eye to eye on everything. we need to establish a ubiquitous culture, philosophy and identity across the entire organization.

Last year, many former #49ers were begging Jed York to hire Mike Shanahan. Trent Baalke blocked Shanahan both then and in 2015.

i like josh mcdaniels as a coach a lot, but i've heard some disconcerting things about him as a person. a little brattish and entitled. sounds like he has some jed in him.
