OFFICIAL JUICING THREAD (NOT THAT TYPE OF JUICING)

Day 1....didn't feel hungry like I expected.

However I did start feeling light headed around 8PM which was right after "dinner."

This cleanse better be worth it.

This is what I do.

As soon as I wake up, I drink a cup of hot water with lemon. This is suppose to help the digestive system.

You are suppose to drink 5 juices a day. Breakfast, Lunch, Mid day snack, Dinner and dessert.

When I began juicing, I drank 4 juices a day. After week 1 I dropped to 3 juices a day.

TO be totally honest, I can really only do 3 juices a day. I cant do the mid day snack because Im still full from lunch juice and it grosses me out. Its like over stuffing yourself.

I dont do dessert because I feel like I dont need it.

Man I wan't to start this now.

@heirjordan15

I actually just use a blender and adding some water to make it easier to blend so I can't really say how much juice I get but the tray last about a week and a half.

From personal experience (If your trying the month long diet)

You WILL gain weight back the second you start actually eating again

You will have headaches

You will be moody

You will loose energy

The best way to do this is replace a few meals with a juice and eat healthy while working out

You definitely will if you go back to your old eating habits. Again, it's why I mentioned in my first post that this isn't supposed to be some diet fad for quick weight loss. It is a jumpstart on changing your lifestyle and eating habits. I can't stress enought the mental preparation side to this. If you go into it looking to lose weight...You will fail. If you're looking to correct bad eating habits and benefit from a lifestyle that centers around eating to live as opposed to living to eat, then you should have taken the correct planning measures in order to eat a certain kind of way after the fast.

Keep holding out. By most accounts, the worse days are either day 2 or 3 and it gets better from there.

Also, the second you eat something you'll feel miserable for quitting.

Think imma try the 7 days juice. I dont eat much to begin with so this really wont be that hard i think.

You guys think i should make my own juice or get those juices that are meant for juice diets? I live in brooklyn and theirs tons of spots that have juices for diets that you spend like 70-90 bucks on. I remember The Game would post them on his IG

Same here. Not necessarily juicing, just getting one of those single serve blenders to make fruit/veggie smoothies for breakfast.

If you dudes would just workout regularly, do good cardio and had a good clean balanced meal, you won't need to be juicing....juicing is just a shortcut to drink your nutrients rather than incorporate them into a balanced meal...

Juicing is not a diet, its a rebooting system. Cleans out the bad and helps you start fresh.

Of course you will gain the weight back, IF you go back to your disgusting habits of eating all the bad crap.

Im telling you, for me, the way I look at food has changed. Im on 2 weeks, with 16 pounds lighter and feel great. CHECK MY UPDATE.

REPPED, this man knows whats up.

This. Is. Torture.

Hang in there. Start looking at why your doing this and think of food as a bad drug (all the bad food). Try to keep busy to help take your mind off of food. Watching TV is the worst because of all the food commercials.

Try taking a 20 minute walk, walk your dog if you have one. Put on your IPOD and just go. The first 3-5 days are going to be difficult. All you have to do now is say NO to food. Its harder than it sounds but you can do it.

STAY FOCUSED MY DUDE. You will do it.

UPDATE, WEEK 2

So its week 2 of my rebooting juicing and I feel effin great. I have nothing but positives and very few negatives this week.

Im finally able to sleep because I began working out.

Ive been working out for the past week straight, doing 30 minutes of Cardio and 15 of weights (trying to get them Popeye forearms). For some that might weak workout but its a start. Any recommendations on workout tips to build muscle?

Ive lost 16 pounds in 14 days. So I know Im doing something right. Gym is now part of my lifestyle, its more of a I want to do it than I HAVE TO DO IT. Feels good.

Ive began cooking healthy for my family for the past week too. They have not eaten meat for the past week and a half. Only Turkey, Chicken, a bunch of veggies and fruit. They love it.

I can now cook for my kids and be ok with watching them eat the food. Before, I felt like punching them in the face while eating in front of me. The trick is to cook the food and if it looks too good, just go work out.

Same with sitting with people while they are eating. Before, it was like torture to me. Yeah it looks good, but I DONT WANT IT. Thats a great feeling right there.

One thing Im hating is that Im starting to get grossed out by the smell of my juices, is that natural? Its only the green ones though. I have to quickly drink my juices so I wont get grossed out. I must chase it with some water

to get that after taste out my mouth. Happened to my wife too.

I feel good guys. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself and my family. I will continue doing great and definitely NOT go back to my old habits.

And again, to those who want to try it, TRY IT. Its not a diet, its a rebooting system to help you get rid of the junk and bad habits and start fresh and eating right.

Do it for a week and see how you feel. Some will go longer, some will stop after a week. IF you need motivation, your weight should do it. I was at 248 when I started and that did not look great nor did it feel great.

IF you have any questions, please ask.

Regardless of what you eat after the diet you will gain weight back.

I also wouldn't recommend working out while doing this. You NEED carbs to workout.

Like I said before y'all just eat clean/workout daily and replace a few meals a week with a juice. You'll get better results than going Ghandi and than eating regular again. Trust me

Props to you, man. I can't even imagine trying to work out on a juicing diet. On days when my calories are too low my strength suffers a lot and my lifts are just awful.

Since Ive never worked out, I dont know how Im supposed to feel. For now, it feels great running 2 miles a day.

I am not and have not bee sore. People have said if you're not sore, you're not working out correctly. Is that true?

That's not true for every person. For me personally I only get sore if it's a muscle group I haven't worked in a long time. I can do a million sets of chest and triceps work and I never get sore in the following days. You should definitely start doing some muscle building exercises as well. It will help with your weight loss and it will also be good to have some muscle foundation so that you don't look like crap after you've lost the weight.

djaward: Repped, brotha! That takes a lot of discipline. So glad you gave feedback to this thread. Even more glad that it's so positive. It's generally along the lines of most who have taken the fast that far.

As for working out...It's perfectly fine. Going way back in our history to the hunter/gatherer days, humans went hours without food. Some went days. And it's not like they were sitting on their thumbs. They were out there hunting. Expending loads of energy on limited food. But that's how our bodies worked. This juice fast provides a definite advantage because all the nutrients that humans ever need are packed into veggie juices. It's why you're probably experiencing much more energy as your body releases toxins and old junk from your system while feeding it with all the nutrients in world.

One last question, if you don't mind...How are the bowel movements? Regular? Limited? Anything your taking or doing to release any built up fecal matter? You don't have to answer if it's too uncomfortable. Anyway...Thanks for bringing this topic to NT and keep us posted.

Thanks brotha.

Bowel movements are very very few. I think in the past 3 days, Ive sat down once or twice and nothing but gas comes out. Once in a while something will pop out but nothing big. I was used to going at least 3-4 times a day.

I drink a lot of water through out the day so I do urinate a lot.

My longest fast was about a week, but the one thing that I always wondered was about the bowel movements because a lot of people have said if the toxins have no way to be released, they just circulate in your system, which is why you can feel great one day, but horrible the next. Urinating and sweat are obvious ways to release, but then there's the crap still stuck in your intestines and digestive tract....Some people have taken organic supplements or protein (algae: chlorella and Spirunella) to poop, but then there's also enemas (no thanks!). Some do that **** nightly because they say if they're having headaches or just feeling bogged down overall, once they release some more fecal matter, they feel loads better. It's one step that worries me in the entire process.

Ben Roethilisberger, I pm'ed you

Good stuff djaward, have you posted the exact juicing diet in this thread yet? I saw the pic and saved it, just wondering exactly what I should start with and do on a daily basis. Thank you!

Also, my buddy wants to sell me his juicer - the Omega VRT350 as a place opened up next to him that has the "holy grail" of juicers he says, and he's been buying all of his for a reasonable price/can save time as he's always busy with work

Should I hop on the juicer? It's basically new and he wants $200 for it, I just know nothing about them

Amazon product ASIN B00434JINO
^ I believe that is it
