OFFICIAL JUICING THREAD (NOT THAT TYPE OF JUICING)

Fiber and waste is what you digest...

Remove the fiber from your diet and replace out with juices that help with the natural enzymes in your body to move waste out your body and fiber isn't needed...

Fiber makes you feel full tho... that's one of its benefits too
No fiber helps clean you out!

I remember I was on full fiber mode, man i had stuff coming out from 3 years ago..

No doubt it helps but your digestive system is self cleaning especially if your not putting more waste in, but we can both do more research and find a master plan on cleaning...

"Broccoli is MAN MADE . . . it was carefully bred by Italian farmers more than 2,000 years ago, carefully breeding different types of wild cabbage to create it."

"New bananas are grown basically by cloning, similar to that of a rosebush, making every single banana an exact genetic copy of each other! The only reason the banana has survived for so long is due to continued breeding done by humans. "

I guess this?

11 days in and still going. So far it has been pretty easy. After 4 days I switched from a blender to a juicer.

Yesterday was my only day I was ready to call it quits. Woke up with a stomach virus
mean.gif
(mini me got it in school and it ran through the house). Stomach pains, headache, vomiting and the runs. Felt like my stomach was completely empty all day.

My gf is gonna try juicing for a week while I go to New Orleans and then if all goes well with her i'm gonna do the same thing. Ya'll got me motivated to try this out

I know I need to put veggies in my juice, but I LOVE fruits (especially mango, pineapple and kiwi). Cantaloupe will be added into the mix soon.

Right now I'm using a combination of both.  I'm getting berries frozen because they cost a grip at Sprouts and they last longer in the freezer.

My Juice this morning.
Apple, Orange, Banana, Kale, Cucumber and Spinach.

10 days in too:pimp: Feeling good.
buying frozen or freezing fruits and veggies takes some of the healthy part from them. But to each their own.

Congrats on the 10 days.

Btw..

I made two juices yesterday... tryna do something different...

One was one stalk of celery and 4 apples...

The second was 2 bunches kale and a bunch of beets (with stems intact)

Wanna really go hard with this blood purification thing and also really fine tune my taste buds...

Tomorrow Imma do a huge piece of ginger cucumber and grapefruit...
That celery is strong for me sometimes. I need to add extra lemons to make it good.

Beets taste like dirt lol. My wife likes em but Id rather drink something else.

You guys should do this together. That way you can keep eachother on check. Have her wait till you get back.

I might sound like a broken record to some, but making your juice too sweet is bad. Mango, pineapple kiwi and cantalope are the type of ingredients you use to make your juice drinkable. Meaning adding a little flavor.

Drinking a juice with just those items in there is like drinking a smoothie full of sugar. You can also use lemon or strawberries to dilute your juice.

Evidence? I did some reading on this because of the conveniece and cost savings of buying frozen vegs and did not find anything suggesting decreased nutritional value of frozen vs fresh. Just curious where the info is coming from, as I'd be interested in reading whatever you found that led you to this conclusion.

Trying to find the article I read. Someone posted the article on facebook when asking for tips. But all Im getting from google is that frozen vs regular is the same.

SO I FEEL DUMB NOW for not doing more research. Sorry Jkitty.

Its all good man. Was just curious to hear what some other sources had to say because I just did some reading on this last week since I started buying some frozen vegs here and there.

Supposedly frozen MAY even have more nutrients. Not sure how much I buy into this. But the logic is that fruit/ veg are flash frozen right after picking/processing, whereas fresh fruit /veg are losing their nutrients from the time they are picked/processed until they make it on your table, which could be days/weeks.

Just finished watching the documentary and the girlfriend and I are going to give it a shot. We've both done P90X and Insanity and it went well but we just have trouble keeping the weight off, so I'm looking to just reboot the system and change the eating habits. This thread and the documentary has me motivated to give it a shot.

Probably gonna check out one of Joe's books with all the recipes because the lady gets bored of the same recipes after a day or two. The only thing I'm worried about is losing too much weight because even though I am overweight by the standards, the amount of weight the people lost in the movie would be way too much for me (I 'm 5'10" and weigh 185-190 pounds.)

EDIT----Also wondering which juicer to go with? Either gonna do the exact same one Joe used or the Nutribullet.

5'10 190? I don't think you need to go on a juice cleanse at all. Don't take this the wrong way, but just by your past history of doing P90X and Insanity and falling right back into the bad habits, I don't recommend you try another "diet trend". I believe juicing works and I recommend it to everyone, on some occasions I even recommend the juice fast. But honestly, you'll probably fall back into the same old habits after you finish your juice cleanse.

Diets, lose weight fast programs, most definitely part of television programming for sure. I'd say if you truly want to change your lifestyle and feel incredible, just educate yourself. Reprogram your mind if you will. Stay away from people that claim cheat meals are good and animal protein is necessary. Watch "Earthlings", "Forks over knives" and "are we designed to eat meat?". Read "the raw cure" and "the china study". We've been taught the *** backwards way for the sole purpose of profitable gain in the meat and dairy industry as well as the big pharma profits. Ain't no money in curing people. They want you to be dumb, fat and unfulfilled.

Reclaim your oneness. Hit my inbox and I'll help you with a better plan.

This after pic was taken yesterday at Dodgers Stadium. I now coach my sons little league team and yesterday was DODGER day for our league. We got to walk around the field and the only way to walk was to wear your team. I am NOT A GIANTS FAN, thats why I have the sad face. But look at the difference.

I put this pic up and instantly got a lot of compliments. Feels good to be thin again (somewhat). That shirt Im wearing is a sz LG shirt. 2 months ago I was sporting a sz XXL.

Im still juicing 2 times a day 6 days a week. Eating as healthy as I can and leaving out a lot of carbs (mainly bread, tortillas, rice etc. )

I eat a lot of fruits and veggies along with my juices. As far as meats go, I eat a lot of chicken and turkey. Within these two months, I think Ive had RED MEAT twice and it didnt hit my stomach the right way. I did notice that my body struggles to digest the meat when I eat it and its not a good feeling.

Im still working out but not as much as I should. Im about to join a CROSS FIT gym soon so we'll see how that goes.

Hope everyone is still juicing.
